What a treat to start off our week's stay in Puglia at this historic and beautifully renovated hotel. First things first: Louisa at the front desk is a treasure; her communication and care was first class. Secondly, we were lucky enough to have a room slightly seperated from the main by its location up the exterior stairs from the gorgeous interior courtyard. The heavily insulated windows kept out the noise from the kitchen below. Breakfast was the best we had in our week away, including fresh juice (which did not appear anywhere else in our other 3 hotels; they only provided a truly undrinkable synthetic and sugary 'juice') Freshly made egg dishes of your choice are cooked to order at the 'egg bar'. Please do take advise from Louisa about where to dine because I made the mistake of thinking I knew where to go and it was a bad choice! The old town is a decent walk away down a tree-shaded boulevard and it is a true delight to explore.

Room Tip: Our room was only one of two within its own unit through the lovely interior courtyard upstairs, own shaded pergola but above the kitchen.

We stayed for 4 nights last week in this beautiful and historic building.
The first point to make is that this is not your average hotel, and that is abundantly clear from the reviews. It is an historic building which has been restored and converted into an event space, which happens to have a few bedrooms as well. If you are looking for a more conventional hotel, this accommodation will not suit you.
The event space is huge and could cater for several hundred people I suspect. There was a small wedding party whilst we were there, but we hardly noticed it, as it was held in one of the large ground floor banqueting rooms.
Our room was larger than we were expecting, was clean, and had all the facilities we needed. The bed was firm, with a memory foam mattress, and quite comfortable. The wifi reception was reasonably good in the room. The weather was extremely hot, and the air conditioning was efficient.
The property is lovely, and worth exploring. However, because it was so hot, we unfortunately didn't spend much time enjoying the outside.
All the staff we encountered were friendly and efficient. Our flight was delayed when we arrived, and the reception kindly informed the shuttle bus driver and also rescheduled our restaurant booking. Worth noting that if you're coming from Brindisi airport, there's a regular shuttle bus to Lecce which you can book, and is much cheaper than a taxi.
The breakfast was cute, as they play vinyl records in the serving room. We thought the food and choice was typical of what we have previously experienced in Italy. It is not extensive, as of course they are only catering for a small number of people, but you can have eggs/omelettes cooked to order. The coffee is nice. The hotel does not have a bar, but we were served drinks when we asked without any problem.
Its a 10 minute walk into the old town for lunch/dinner along well lit streets. This suited us, as we're office workers usually and enjoyed the bit of extra exercise. Probably not ideal if you have mobility issues or young children. We enjoyed the variety of restaurants on offer in the town, and the one the hotel chose for our first evening was ideal.
Overall we had a lovely relaxing stay. Thank you !

We spent 2 nights here while visiting Lecce. The structure is a beautifully restored building and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was, however, just adequate, especially considering the price of the room, and the noise of other guests using the elevator was an unwelcome disturbance during the night. The proximity of the center of Lecce was a plus.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room!

Stayed at hotel for 2 nights. Magnificent setting with limited number of rooms, very well appointed. While it is predominately a function centre (a food expo was on at the time) this had no impact on our stay. The decor and grounds are just magnificent. It is a short walk of about 12 minutes to the old city. Parking was very easy around the hotel and plenty of street parking bays for 2 euro/day alongside hotel. Ask front desk to explain how this works. Louisa at the front desk was amazing and very helpful. Hotel is highly recommended. Would definitely stay there again

The hotel itself is generally beautiful and storybook like and is best for large parties and weddings but not to stay there. Our room was very small , the pictures online are extremely misleading. Our room had lots of ants. There were few towels, no robes, no slippers or any amentity that you would expect in a top rated hotel. Breakfast was good, but no other facilites for lunch or dinner. They were totally understaffed as service was poor and hardly anyone was present at the front desk. Parking was a hassle, you had to park the car yourself and go to a meter.

Room Tip: ask for one without ants and one that looks like the pictures that they market
