“Modern, clean - not great, not bad!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2013

Nice room, not very big and decorated rather bizarrely with what looked like rusty iron! Clean, comfortable, and reasonable food. Nothing to make it either outstandingly good nor bad. The air conditioning needed to work well - it was c40C outside!

This hotel was fantastic! The beds were so comfortable, everything was immaculate. There were lots of ultra modern touches which made even opening the room-door exciting. The breakfast was fresh and enjoyable each day. The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. They provided endless directions and suggestions and even set up a shuttle service to take me back to the Brindisi airport since I didn't speak Italian.

It was walking distance to the old city gates and everything in the tourist guide book.

Room Tip: I think each room has theme and I have a feeling they are all cool!

We stayed here for one night in June as part of a cycling trip. The hotel is a decent walk from the old part of town. It was 38 degrees when we arrived at 5pm so the walk felt like a long way - would be fine in milder conditions. It's a beautiful modern hotel, although the surroundings are not overly inspiring. The front desk staff were amazingly helpful - booked a taxi for us and genuinely a pleasure to deal with. The rooms are modern, bright and squeaky clean. Breakfast was very nice with good variety. There are 2 things which significantly impact the rating I have given: 1) the AC did not cope with e heat, it's centrally controlled and despite asking twice for it to be turned down it wa still very hot in the room overnight (no doubt due to the very hot weather); and 2) there is no wifi at all - for travellers on the go this is really a necessity. I would strongly recommend that the hotel management address this, it would change my rating from Average to Excellent.

The Good:

The reception staff were all very nice and helpful.
The hotel had a hip feel to it - nice and modern.
The underground parking garage, although tight to maneuver around in, was a nice feature.
They offered a good breakfast.

The Bad:

No wi-fi availability at all. You could request a "hard-line" to plug your device into the wall. I don't understand how a hotel can get by these days without offering wi-fi to their clients??? I would not stay here in the future because of that fact.
The room was smallish and just kind of blah. It was fine, but I was expecting more.
The AC didn't work the best, so it was warm sleeping at night.
The hotel was quite a walk from the historical center of Lecce.

Stayed in June 2012. Clean and modern hotel. Had 2 comfortable nights of stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Underground parking available for additional fees. Breakfast had some pretty unique things such as mozzarella and this "stone bread" that's a regional item. I enjoyed the stay very much.

Eos Hotel in Lecce is one of the nicest hotels I have was given to me to visit. It is located about 20 minutes walk from the train station. Very nice, modern lobby. Very friendly service. Rooms nicely decorated, clean. Very comfortable beds. Internet access, but only for cable, phone and iPad so fall. Big bathroom, equipped with basic hygiene. Unfortunately, from time to time you could see the ants (room 104). Breakfast is excellent with a nice variety of regional products. Even though the hotel has a 3 *, calmly deserves 4 *.

This hotel was good value, but we were there off peak. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Cold buffet breakfast was good. Despite being on a very busy road we did not find it noisy from inside the hotel. The rooms are small but adequate and clean, may need a bit of redecorating/touching up soon. Remember to put your key in holder inside room to get water, we thought our plumbing was not working. Hadn't thought to put key in holder because the lights were on in the room. As others say it is a short 10/15 minute stroll into the old town centre. A lovely old town to wander around.
Hotel is on very busy inner ringroad. If you are driving you will need to approach hotel from clockwise direction because you can not cross the road to turn from the other direction. Start to watch out for the hotel on your right, quite soon after a roundabout (where Via Forlanni/Via Malta crosses Viale Vittorio Alfieri, I missed it (it was dark) and had to do a big loop to get back. The entrance to the underground parking is gated and to the right side of the hotel as you face the hotel from the road. It is essential to ensure you can reserve parking (fee 10E/day) . The carpark is very small, and manouvouring might be quite tricky if it is very busy. Without the carpark I think we would have had problems knowing what to do with the car.
I would book this hotel again if I was returning to Lecce
