“Functional Modern Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013 via mobile

Stayed in June 2012. Clean and modern hotel. Had 2 comfortable nights of stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Underground parking available for additional fees. Breakfast had some pretty unique things such as mozzarella and this "stone bread" that's a regional item. I enjoyed the stay very much.

Eos Hotel in Lecce is one of the nicest hotels I have was given to me to visit. It is located about 20 minutes walk from the train station. Very nice, modern lobby. Very friendly service. Rooms nicely decorated, clean. Very comfortable beds. Internet access, but only for cable, phone and iPad so fall. Big bathroom, equipped with basic hygiene. Unfortunately, from time to time you could see the ants (room 104). Breakfast is excellent with a nice variety of regional products. Even though the hotel has a 3 *, calmly deserves 4 *.

This hotel was good value, but we were there off peak. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Cold buffet breakfast was good. Despite being on a very busy road we did not find it noisy from inside the hotel. The rooms are small but adequate and clean, may need a bit of redecorating/touching up soon. Remember to put your key in holder inside room to get water, we thought our plumbing was not working. Hadn't thought to put key in holder because the lights were on in the room. As others say it is a short 10/15 minute stroll into the old town centre. A lovely old town to wander around.
Hotel is on very busy inner ringroad. If you are driving you will need to approach hotel from clockwise direction because you can not cross the road to turn from the other direction. Start to watch out for the hotel on your right, quite soon after a roundabout (where Via Forlanni/Via Malta crosses Viale Vittorio Alfieri, I missed it (it was dark) and had to do a big loop to get back. The entrance to the underground parking is gated and to the right side of the hotel as you face the hotel from the road. It is essential to ensure you can reserve parking (fee 10E/day) . The carpark is very small, and manouvouring might be quite tricky if it is very busy. Without the carpark I think we would have had problems knowing what to do with the car.
I would book this hotel again if I was returning to Lecce

I have just returned for 4 days at the Eos Hotel and would highly recommend it. The staff were attentive and polite. The room was clean with a great design. Breakfast was fabulous and really set us up brilliantly for a days sightseeing. Its an easy 10 minute walk up to the gates of the Old Town of Lecce which is spectacular. The hotel is on a busy road but you don't hear any traffic and its very peaceful.

Room Tip: We were in room 307 which had a window onto the central courtyard which was absolutely fine.

Have just returned from a weeks stay in Lecce. Cannot fault the hotel - the staff are great, the room was fabulous and the breakfast was wonderful. Its a 15 min stroll into the old town which was not a problem for us, we enjoyed wondering round the old town and had some great meals.

Room Tip: All rooms are great and individually decorated.

We stayed in this hotel in the first week of July and we were very happy with it. Lecce has a beautiful historic centre, the hotel was located about 10 minutes' walk south. We had a rental car and during this holiday we spent all our daytime driving up and down the coast, so the garage was one of the reasons why we picked this one. Bear in mind the historic centre is a car-free zone, so if you have a car avoid any hotels in there!

The staff always had a smile for you, they were very friendly and helpful. They recommended us some places to visit and eat, and even a couple of beaches - not that it's particularly hard to find beautiful beaches over there. One of the girls recommended us a homely trattoria just around the corner that served traditional local food, very tasty. It is opposite a 24-hour bar that serves food... we ate there the first night as we got there about 1am, but avoid it unless it's an emergency!

Our room felt modern, the furniture was new, the pictures do it justice. Our room faced the inner courtyard, which was small but pretty, and you could have breakfast there if you liked. Breakfast was mainly continental, though they had some traditional food too.

All in all, a really nice hotel and lovely staff, no complaints at all. Thinking of coming back next summer!

The Standard room in this hotel were just great! Modern look, spacious, comfortable bed and amazing shower! Nice breakfast too with proper juices to drink (not watery cordials). Very helpful staff and the thing that amazed us the most was THE POSSIBILITY FOR THE LATE CHECK OUT WITHOUT EXTRA CHARGES (IF THE HOTEL IS NOT FULLY BOOKED). This was very convenient for us as we wanted to go to the beach in the morning and like that we could pack and take a shower afterwards (like 5 pm). Moreover, there is only 10 minutes walking to the city centre! Overall great experience. Highly recommend.
