“Romantic Wedding Venue”
Reviewed August 31, 2012

Stayed for 5 nights at this wonderful hotel where my daughter had organised her wedding reception. Simple, spacious, comfortable rooms with modern en-suite. Amazing family rooms - one with mezzanine area with ladder up to two beds.Excellent breakfast in the dining room with view over green lawns to the Alps and Mt Blanc. Seven Course wedding feast following finger food buffet on the lawn with sun shining and Mt Blanc as background. Each course delicious, beautifully presented and accompanied by local wine and then finally a cup cake wedding cake. Hotel family run with friendly, helpful and very hard working staff.

We stayed at La Chance for two nights. Our room was large, with modern decor and great views of the Alps from our window. Food was consistently good (we ate three main meals at the hotel). The hotel is set 5 minutes' walk downhill from the cable car station in Pila which means it's away from the hustle and bustle of the station and the cafes and hotels that surround it. There is a large lawn at the back of the hotel with plenty of sun loungers and chairs for relaxing, in the best position to enjoy the views of Mont Blanc. We enjoyed the use of the hotel's spa with jacuzzi, sauna, ice showers and a relaxing room. You can also get various treatments though we didn't try any of these.

I attended a wedding at the Hotel La Chance and had a wonderful time. The rooms are cosy yet stylish and it was a perfect wedding venue, with breathtaking mountain views and excellent food. Highly recommended!

We booked this hotel for 2 nights with half board after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. Location is good if you're looking to walk around the mountains above Pila and the south facing garden is a welcome retreat after a day in the mountains.

Unfortunately our experience was let down by the evening food service and the basic food served in the evening. The first evening there were only 2 people serving an almost complete dining room and on the even busier 2nd evening there were 3 people. After the slow service on the 1st evening we decided to beat the queues for the 2nd evening by arriving exactly when the restaurant opened. We were the first table to be sat and the first to get the entree but the meal took 2 hours overall and we were waiting ages between courses. Other people around us were equally frustrated and annoyed and leaving before receiving all their courses. Quite disappointing and the food wasn't even that good. I cannot recommend going half board as it doesn't provide value for money.

Thoroughy enjoyed our stay. Good rooms, excellent food & great service. Very friendly staff, including the dog who enjoyed evening walks with my wife & I.
Would be 5 stars but bit of a walk to the ski lifts - about 10 minutes, uphill. However with a bit of care & trespass, its possible to ski back to the hotel so at least the walk is only 1 way.

Went with Interski - 3rd time & always superb organisation. This time they went the extra mile (or rather many) by rescueing our return journey as we realised when we got to the French border that we'd left our passports in the hotel. Quick action & we still managed to catch our flight home from Geneva.

La Chance have invested a huge amount of time and effort into paying attention to the smallest of details. This has led to the building and running of a beautiful hotel with a service on offer which is hard to pick holes in.

The bar in the Hotel has a modern yet warm feeling and serves one of the largest hot chocolate menus I have ever set my eyes on! In true Italian style the aperitivo nibbles on offer in the bar are a fantastic way to finish of a hard days skiing.

The spar facilities are lovely with numerous different showers (ice showers for the brave), a sauna, steam room and brilliant Jacuzzi with views which were awe inspiring (on a clear day!)

The bedrooms are lovely and clean and well maintained. The photos on the website are an honest reflection of what to expect when you arrive. With a fancy thermostat system you can have your rooms set to a suitable temperature for you. Make sure you tell them if your room is too cold as when you leave the room the heating does turn off unless you request otherwise!

The restaurant provides delicious food and you will never leave the table still hungry. Make sure you indulge in some of the local wines!

All In all, my stay at La Chance was lovey and the facilities were very good. I would have to say that the thing which topped it for me were the friendly staff. If there were any problems they were always willing to help and remained extremely polite.

I booked a ski trip to Pila last winter through www.boardnlodge.com staying a Hotel La Chance - i'd never heard of the resort let alone the hotel so I was a little unsure of what to expect but I we were so happy with the whole experience. The resort is fantastic, quite small but with skiing for all standards, really friendly and with great bars and restaurants. Its fantastic value compared with France just a a few miles away.
Hotel La Chance is a gem as well, inexpensive but with really outstanding facilities including an amazing spa and really top quality rooms. The food is gourmet standard as well with a choice of 3 starters and main courses each evening. The staff were professional yet charming and the hotel caters well to kids too without being a kids hotel (although thats often the way in Italy i've found). We were a family but i would certainly come here without the kids too - Cant recommend this place enough!
