The restaurant is run by the same people who have a seafood shop next door - which the family has had for 20+ years. The first thing you see upon entering is the day's fresh fish and shellfish laid out beautifully on display. You may either pick out the fish you want or choose a dish from the menu. My family and I ate there twice on this visit and we sampled most everything (except the risotto). The appetisers and first courses offer something for every taste, from the traditional (such as calamari) to the adventurous (such as sea urchins or something which translates to "Ox-eyes", which has a unique consistency is delicious). The sea bass was prepared to perfection, served whole and cleaned at the table by the waitress. The various pasta dishes were more than ample portions and simply delicious. The service is impeccable. And the desserts are all home made and unbelievably scrumptious (the chocolate cake is prepared individually and takes 12 minutes, but well worth the wait). Both meals were simply the best seafood dinners we have had. The owner (the son who has taken over) is young and enthusiastic. If you are in the Taormina area, this is a must.
