“BAD, expensive, not fresh”
Reviewed July 31, 2012

We were recommended this restaurant by our travel guides, so we decided to check it out. We got a table for two and menus which we had no time to look at before a talkative and nice seeming waitress suggested us to have a look at day's fish. Actually we would have taken some other course, but ended up to choose what he "recommended" us (he took away our menu, never gave them back and talked to us in a manipulating way): as a first course spaghetti with mussels and as a second course fish with potatoes and house white wine with it (11e 375ml, not worth the price).

First course was ok, but the second wasn't. Potatoes arrived way earlier than fish and when fish arrived potatoes were already cold (and obviously made well before serving them). It was 6 euro for a portion of 4 small, cold and raw potatoes. Fish was full of bones, which is natural since it was baked as a whole piece. Besides that it had also plenty of fish scales and was tasteles (or such a weird muddy taste) and super expensive (22e for a small piece of fish, 5,5e per 100g???). We wouldn't recommend this restaurant, or at least we wouldn't recommend to take day's fish and potatoes.

Service was bad, and like others we were ignored after we had ordered. Many other customers seemed to have it like us: no menus, but aggressive selling of that expensive fish. Atmosphere was dark and down. I would never go there again. Luckily we weren't too hungry when we went in that restaurant, we couldn't have afford it.

After bad food we actually still were hungry and bought pizza. An expensive evening.

“good food - bad service”
Reviewed August 4, 2011

I vistited this restaurant in may with my husband.
At first the waitor was very interested in serving us, but after we got the dishes he/ they completely forgot all about us.
The food was fine but also very expensive.
We were not offered dessert or coffee and as none of the waitors would look at us,
at last I had to yell at a waitor to get the bill,
This was a bad experience!

“Fantastic food, dreadful service,VERY expensive”
Reviewed July 20, 2011

Went to this place for a late lunch with kids after the beach as it was recommended to us as the best seafood place in town. Upon our arrival, you could clearly see that the waiter was not too thrilled to see us. Anyway, the kids were excited to see the huge fish tank with lobsters and the view was amazing, so we didn't mind initially. The bread arrived and it was definitely not fresh, which was ashame, as their very own olive oil tastes like heaven and it would be nice to dip a fresh piece of bread into it. Then my wine arrived and was open and placed before me (nobody bothered to offer a taste first or to pour it into my glass). You could certainly feel that the waiter was not in the mood and wished we were gone as soon as possible (we were the only table there!)

My 3 year old daughter decided that she didn't want spaghetti and wanted plain pasta instead. We asked the waiters for another dish for her and again, whilst they duly brought her pasta burro a few minutes later, you could feel the mood was getting even darker.

It was such a shame, as my lobster was absolutely devine and fritto misto that my son ordered was heavenly too!

However, nobody bothered asking if everything was ok, we had to ask for butter and oil ourselves, simple little things that you always expect in the resaurant were definitely not there. Upon finishing our plates, we were almost immediately handed a bill of 130 euro for 5 people (mind you, I did have lobster but the rest had pasta, and we only had 1 drink each), the bill also included a 3 euro service charge for each person. Definitely an expensive lunch. We were not offered a coffee or a desert menu and were left with an impression that we had to get out almost immediately. Such a shame, as with such excellent standart of food and such panoramic view, it would have been a fantastic experience but for the horrific atmosphere and over the top price.
