just returned from brilliant holiday at la Perla hotel garda my wife and myself took 2 granddaughters aged 10 and14 years .on arrival at 12.45 lunchtime our rooms were ready we asked for 2 rooms next to each other which we got with adjoining balcony the rooms were very clean a bit small but in Italy you expect that as you are out most of the time.we found hotel had a lot of character and charm the staff were exceptional our cleaner Angelina we called her numero uno cleaner was a character on her own Geraldo restaurant manager was brilliant he advised on all meals which was very helpful and would change things if you didn't like it he allways smiled and spoke to us and the girls Sara was our waitress she served with a smile and a chat and also new about menu and would advise if needed. The pool area was brilliant and clean no probs getting sunbeds or tables .location very close to all facilities of resort.with bus stop round corner we used them a lot to go to Verona gardaland &monte balde not expensive .we enjoyed holiday so much our girls have asked can we go to the hotel again next year they loved it.Italian hospitality at its best

Got to agree with the majority of reviews on La Perla.
We have just returned from another holiday at La Perla, our forth time at this great wee hotel.
We have never returned four times to any other holiday hotels some of which were certainly fancier, but as most reviews state this hotel ticks all the boxes regarding location, cleanliness, food, and pool area and last but certainly not least the friendly efficient and helpful staff.
A couple of things I would suggest by way of constructive advice is that the sharing of a table with other guests is not to everyone's liking and some people I spoke to actually said that this was a major item for them and would perhaps put them off returning.
One other item which I think has been mentioned before is the full length frosted glass panel on the bathroom door which some people may find a bit off putting if sharing the room .

Room Tip: Some people prefer a pool view, I prefer a front facing room.

My wife and I made a return visit to La Perla and it is even better than last visit.
The hotel is situated 100 yards from the main bus station in Garda but because of its position no noise reached this pearl of a hotel. The staff are very friendly and the hotel is very clean and comfortable.

I stayed at La Perla with my wife and two children for a week. The hotel is a couple of streets from the lake and is relatively quiet but convenient for restaurants, shops etc. The bus station is just around the corner which is useful when joining early morning excursions to Venice, the Dolomites, Verona etc.

The rooms were basic but clean with a good shower room, mini bar and TV with BBC1 and a few other English language channels.

We were given two rooms on the fourth floor with a shared balcony and view of the lake. We had half board and were pleased with the quality and choice of food. The service from the waiting staff was friendly and attentive. The reception (and housekeeping) staff were also excellent and helpful assisting us with booking activities and providing guidance for walks - the path up to "La Rocca" a hill that dominates the resort is just behind the hotel.

The main swimming pool was excellent for adults and older children but had a flat bottom (no shallow end) and was too deep for our six year old to stand up in. There were two other pools but these were 20cm and 60cm deep and so too shallow for our daughter (great for toddlers and younger kids though).

Overall we were delighted with the hotel and staff who seemed really to care about providing guests with a great experience.

Room Tip: We had rooms 401 and 437 which faced the lake and had a shared balcony. This was great for a family of four.
