Our party of 4 stayed 6 nights in May 2013 on the basis of half board. Staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. Our rooms had balconies and without supplements faced the wooded mountains. The front of house staff were helpful in arranging/suggesting places of interest to visit off the usual tourist trail and the La Rocca walk is a must for elevated views of Lake Garda. The hotel also organised a parasailing jump of Monte Baldo for one of our party. The hotel offered free use of cycles, particularly useful as Garda and the whole lake perimeter is very cycle friendly. The hotel has a well equipped gymnasium and during our visit arranged a free evening welcome event for guests. We would recommend this hotel as appropriate for allage groups.

Room Tip: For a lake view there is a supplement to pay.We did not pay this as it was not a lakeside view and w...

I booked a week here as a surprise for my wife's birthday following a recommendation, we normally go self catering so this was very different for us. Really good communication before we arrived and a great friendly welcome. Had absolutely no complaints at all, good service from people who really care. Location is perfect and an early evening drink on your balcony overlooking Garda and the Lake beyond - stunning. Luigi and the team should be very proud of what they have created, nothing is too much trouble. For a chill out holiday this is perfect. We will go back, probably many times !!!

Room Tip: Ask for a lake view, slightly more expensive but well worth it.

We have just returned from another lovely holiday at Hotel Garden. We have lost count of how many times we have been back but each time has been special and we come home feeling completely relaxed and cossetted. The welcome is always so genuine and everyone goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful.

The hotel, surrounding gardens and the pool are always kept immaculate. Having lived in Italy I feel I can comment with some authority on the standard of the food which is always delicious.

We like to completely chill out in the peaceful surrounding, swim and read our stock of books. If you should finish your own you can always borrow more from the hotel which keep a good selection of "holiday reading". If you want to do something more energetic the hotel is within easy reach of Garda itself which is a delightful place to wander around. Also lovely walks, the ferry to transport you to the interesting places around the lake and you can also arrange tourist trips to beautiful Venice and Verona.

The time until our next visit to Hotel Garden at Garda can't go quickly enough.

Room Tip: Lake view rooms have a beautiful outlook

Have just returned from our 4th stay at Hotel Garden, and it is still as excellent as ever. It's location couldn't be better, near enough to the town/ferry point, but quiet and secluded, and the pool and garden areas are beautiful. There have been some changes since we last visited, all aimed at maintaining their high standards of service and facilities. The staff, many of whom have been there for many years, are very professional but also friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The standard of cleanliness in the complex as a whole is outstanding. Would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Garden to anyone. Worth booking direct with the hotel as they offer a free transport service from/to Verona Airport.

Room Tip: First floor lake view are very good rooms

Like many other reviewers, we've been to The Garden several times, the latest being May this year. I'm not sure whether that makes it 6 or 7 consecutive years and we hope to be able to return for many years to come. The atmosphere there is so special, the welcome so genuine, and all the staff - most of whom have been there for years - are so friendly and helpful. The Hotel has been in the same family for 3 generations and the chap who looks after the gardens started doing so for the lst generation!

My husband and I go simply to relax in very comfortable and agreeable surroundings, but for those looking for more action, there's a lovely pool, 4 tennis courts, bicycles, and a whole host of fearsome looking equipment in the gym. One big "plus" for us is that there is no music anywhere, piped or otherwise.

Garda is a nice place to wander around with lots of cafes and restaurants, and it's pleasant to have lunch overlooking the lake, watching the ferries coming and going. The hotel also serves a selection of hot or cold lunches on the terrace or in the bar.

If you like small hotels, spotless cleanliness everwhere, nice food and attentive service, The Garden ticks all the boxes.

Loved every minute of our stay at the Hotel last week for a short break. Everyone made us feel really welcome, as usual and we will be returning later in the year. We are taking our twelve year old god-daughter again this summer and she adores the place. She counts the days until we can return. You can't get a much better recommendation than that!

My wife and I have just returned from this hotel last week. We really had a wonderful relaxing time , either spent by the beautiful pool and sun deck , wandering through the narrow streets of Garda, or exploring the lake by boat from the very close ferry terminal.
The peace and quiet is amazing around the hotel. Everyone respects the quietness, lovely when relaxing in the sun, or having a drink in the bar before or after dinner.
Our room over looking the lake and pool , with a balcony and sun chairs was fantastic . Not modern , classic in style , but very clean, fresh towels daily, with a safe and an abundance of having space in the wardrobe .
We booked our own flights , and the hotel arranged a private transfer both to and from the airport for us , at their expense !
I would love to return to this hotel again next year for our third visit .

Room Tip: Pool / lake view rooms are really worth the extra money . First floor pool view rooms have a larger...
