We first stayed here 12 years ago. Hotel still run by the same family, now the son. Very welcoming great pool, excellent position. Go for half board, coste little extra than B&B but food varied and excellent. Better than most places in Garda town. We will go again i am sure.

Room Tip: Pay a bit extra and go for a lake view room!!

After spending 2 weeks at the Garden Hotel and enjoying the delightful experience, we will certainly consider returning in the near future. Staff and service were excellent - nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good and professionally served, hotel is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The manager takes a personal interest in all aspects of guests comforts (a special birthday was marked with a complimentary bottle of Prosecco delivered to our room!)Highly Recommended.

We spent our summer holiday at hotel Garden in Garda. Really, everything in this hotel is perfect. This is what a hotel should be. The hotel location, the staff, the room, the swimming pool, the garden, the bar, the parking place, breakfast, dinner, etc, etc. excellent!! This hotel gives you the perfect holiday in Garda witch is a very nice place at the Garda lake.

Room Tip: Room with lake view.

We stayed here for five nights in june / July 2012 and would go back any time! The hotel has the air of a bygone era with traditionally dressed waiters, clients who dress for dinner, and pre-dinner aperatifs by the pool - I was waiting for Poirot to appear round a corner at any time! Spotlessly clean, impeccable service and excellent food. Excellent location - five minutes (max) walk down to the lake but benefits from being away from the noise and bustle of the lake frontage. We were particularly impressed with the staff who took the time to address everybody by name. Excellent breakfast buffet; e didn't have dinner here but the choice was certainly extensive. We didn't use the pool but it was well maintained and clean. This is the perfect stop for a battery-recharge holiday - we would recomment to anybody and would certainly go back.

We recently returned from our trip to Garda and had booked Hotel Garden based on reviews here so our expectations were pretty high. The hotel is spotlessly clean, has helpful friendly staff and a lovely setting by the pool which is well maintained. They also offer free transfer to and from Verona airport which is a nice touch. It is an old fashioned hotel. The day starts early and ends early. We arrived from the airport close to 10pm and asked for something light to eat but were told the kitchen was closed and we would have to walk to the lake to find a restaurant. In my opinion, a true four star hotel would have some kind of cold snacks available for guests arriving at a late hour. We had booked a lake view room and while it did have a view, the room was on the small side with an awkward wardrobe set-up and nowhere to sit besides the bed. I would recommend asking about the size of your room before you book. While we enjoyed our stay overall, there was one charge on our bill that on reflection we felt to be unfair. We were aware that dinner could be had at the hotel for ten euro per head but you had to have it for at least three nights. We decided to give it a go for one night and as the food wasn't to our liking (bland and heavy) we didn't repeat the experience. On departure there was a charge on our bill of 62.90 for the meal excluding wine. I commented that it was expensive but didn't receive a response. I felt rather cheated and would advise travellers to ask exactly how much dinner costs for a single sitting. As other reviewers have noted, the bills are not itemized and it is difficult at the end of a week to recall every drink and lunch item imbibed. I would recommend making a note your self to keep track - not exactly what you want to be doing on holiday! There is also a charge of 12 euro per hour to use the tennis courts though this is not mentioned on the website. The clientele tended to be of an older age group during our stay and I think most were on the half board basis so good value for money if you like the food and don't mind eating early and ordering your evening meal straight after breakfast. Finally, breakfast is the exact same offering each morning which can get a little tiresome after seven days.

Room Tip: Ask about the size and layout of the room before you book as they vary throughout.

We have just made our fourth visit to this wonderful hotel. Along with many other 'returners', we find this 'family run' hotel perfect for a relaxing break.

The staff are all very efficient, helpful and hard-working and very much part of the family 'team'.
The food is top-rate and with a good choice of menu for the evening meal. It is particularly pleasant having your lunch under the well-established pergola.

The position of the hotel is excellent - only a few minutes walk from the lakeside but very quiet and peaceful in lovely grounds. The bus and ferry station with access to every resort on Lake Garda and Verona are both within the same walking distance.

We have already booked for next year!

Room Tip: Personally, we choose a lake view room as we enjoy sitting on the balcony with a view of the gounds...
