Lovely restaurant, probabally a tad above the average lakeview restaurant, nice to have a covered yet airy space for chilly evenings, staff very accomodating and food really great

You only have to glance at the array of restaurants and cafes that line the lakeside promenade to realise that La Vittoria offers something different. From elegant styling and furnishings to friendly professional staff and a menu that includes delicious homemade Italian classics, fresh fish from the lake and imaginative meat dishes. I have just returned from staying at the Hotel with a friend for a week and we ate at the Cafe a number of times. Whether we wanted a quick sandwich & Aperol Spritz or a leisurely evening meal we were never disapointed with either the standard of food or service. This restaurant is also very popular with locals - always a good recommendation of quality. If you are visiting at a time of the year when the weather is a little cooler - advance booking of a conservatory table might be advisable as it really does get busy.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and dined there 3 of the nights, as well as a lunch or two. The food is diverse and tasteful. Combine the good food with the great location and incredibly friendly staff and you have a winner in my book. Looking forward to going back there again.

I chose this restaurant for a birthday meal out with my parents while on holiday in lake Garda. They had an interesting array of fish dishes and slightly more inventive than usual main courses found around the town. The view from the tables by the lake is wonderful as the sun goes down and the service friendly. The food itself was in general nice but on the pricey side. I shared a starter of squid ink ravioli with my husband which they kindly put on two plates for us. The main was an interesting melt in the mouth dish of tuna with a pistaccio crust.

The only slight issues that I had with the place was that you were definitely getting tourist service rather than the type of service you get in the non-tourist areas of italy, or restaurants where mainly italians go - its hard to sum up but perhaps its just a tad patronisng and offhand - e.g asking if everything is ok without being really that attentive and not bothering to top up wine glasses or ask if you need anything else. Also, the provision of those international bread roles, bought frozen/part cooked and warmed up across the globe was I thought very poor for what was trying to be a higher end restaurant. We got fresh home baked bread in a simple cafe/restaurant near our hotel - this is the italian way. I would rather have stale home made bread than this, which you could get anywhere in the world.. Having said that, it was a very pleasant evening and the view and ambience made up for any minor and quite possibly not universally relevant quibbles.
