We travelled in July 2011 with a 17 month old. The hotel staff are friendly but the building itself is quite tired - mould in bathroom, very noisy bed whenever you moved and gardens a bit rustic! My main problem was the restaurant where we were provided with a 'highchair'. This really was a chair that was high and with no harness so we spent every meal with little one on our laps! There was one proper highchair but seemed to be reserved for an Italian family but after begging one night I was told we could use it for one night only! The food was actually quite good and they offered little one her own meal every night despite not paying for her as she is under 2. I wouldn't put people off going here but just want other families to be aware. The little pool was not cleaned either so we had to use the adult one. Not a bad hotel just not catered for children.

Room Tip: Ask for ground floor rooms with kids as the lifts take forever and you can leave pushchairs outside your back door as rooms too small

Went here with my wife and i was the same as previous patrons after reading some of the earlier reviews of this hotel. Be rest assured you have nothing to worry about. Staff were efficient and the food was very good. Rooms were large but a bit dated, but who spends all there time in a room when you are on holiday? The price of this hotel was very good compared to other hotels we have stayed in before on Lake Garda. This was our 3rd visit.Garda itself is a wonderful place to base your visit . It is very easy to travel around from here as it has a main bus terminal 5 minutes from hotel.

Room Tip: ask for room at back of hotel for best views over the mountains as the hotel is not on the waterfront

We have just returned from a week at this hotel after going with mixed expectations after reading bad reviews, and thankfully found there was nothing at all bad that we could find, the grounds, the 2 pool areas, the staff, the cleaniness, and most importantly the food was all much better than we enticipated, ok the furniture was a bit dated but we dont go on holiday to stare at the furniture, it done its job well of storage space for our clothes, the walk to lake Garda is about 10 minuites slow stroll, which you need to walk of the lovely food you have eaten after dinner, and when you get to the lake front the 10 minuites walk is worth every step as its so beautiful and stunning, then you can relax again at one of the many bars for a lovely cuppacino, or whatever drink, or an amazing ice cream that i have never seen so many flavours, colours and sizes of! would have no hesitation at all on returning to this hotel, what a shame that First choice is not doing it again, only through the fact that they are doing all inclusive only from next year, sorry i forgot to mention Rory the amazing Rep, he was so knowledgable, funny, very freindly, and not at all pushy in trying to sell you trips, in fact he told you all the cheapest and best ways of doing things, so thankyou again Rory a lovely fellow, and if anybody is going later after reading this review could you please take him out a Fray Bentos pie as he misses them so much, and cannot buy them at Garda

Like others i was worried about our stay following several poor reviews on this website. These were totally unfounded. The food was fine, waiters and staff were always friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean if a little dated but did the job perfectly well. Rory was fab and had a good attention to detail. We would definitely return to this hotel and resort.

Just returned from a beautiful week on Lake Garda. I travelled with my husband and 18 year old daughter and none of us found any fault whatsoever with the hotel.
My daughter had a single room which was right next door to ours - the bathroom and balcony were the same as ours and the bedroom quite charming. Our bedroom had a double bed and an extra single bed and sizewise was bigger than some Spanish ones we have stayed in.
The shower enclosure is very small - 700mm two door corner slider but the shower itself is one of the best we have had, plenty hot water and a really good flow. Yes the towels are very thin but are super absorbant (and didn't rub sunburnt shoulders!).
All of the corriders and bedrooms are carpeted which kept them very quiet - no high heels scraping across tiled floors :) The only downside was the air-conditioning not being on yet and as it was so warm we had to sleep with the glass door open, which wasn't too big a deal as it was very quiet anyway. We were over the bar at the front of the hotel, but they stopped serving around 11pm and most people drfited off to their rooms not long after.
Breakfast consisted of the usual array of cold meats, fruit salads, breads and cakes, yoghurts and selection of cereals. There was alway fried eggs and bacon too, plus juice (usually orange), water, tea and coffee. You are given a menu for evening meal which you have to select your next evenings choice - first course is generally a choice between 2 pasta dishes and a soup, second course always a choice between meat or fish. The salmon was done beautifully as were the escalopes. These 2 courses are waiter served. You help yourself to salad and desserts (tiramisu, panacotta, icecream, fruit salad and various others).
We found all of the staff throughout the hotel to be friendly and polite. The rooms were cleaned and towels changed everyday. We had a safe in our wardrobe which was electronically controlled by a digital code you chose yourself.
A five minute gentle stroll down the road and underpass takes you down to the pedestrianised alleyways leading to the Lake.
All in all, we had a beautiful week visiting some of the other towns using the ferry boats. The weather was extremely warm and sunny, clouding over on a couple of days late afternoon and rumbles of thunder and lightening in the evening which cleared the air nicely.
