The most beautiful and friendly holiday we have been on, just booked for next May and so looking forward to being back at the same hotel. I will be happy to explore the area again and see the friendly people of Limone in particular.

Garda is a good place to stay if it is your first visit to the Lake, as you can easily travel around with a good bus service and frequent ferries to other resorts. it is also fairly flat along the lakeside with a good promenade walk up to Bardolino and even Lazise, or hire a bike and ride it.

you can find here everything: nature, historic city, good food and lovely people.
we stayed here for 5 days and had great time. i think 3 days it's enough if you're not
going to garda land.

“Lake Garda”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

We went to Garda having previously been to Lake Como. We stopped in Garda town and found it a lovely town with nice shops in narrow streets, some very nice old buildings and a lovely promenade on the lake shore. All along the promenade are nice restaurants with seating on the lake shore. We did not eat in them as we were stopping at the Villa Mulino Hotel (see separate review) on a half board basis. We went to the north of the lake, Riva, by our coach and also to Venice. After this we made our own way on the Lake's own water transport. We visited Sirmione, Lazise, Salo and Bardolino this way. We were fortunate that during our visit it was the food and wine festival in Bardolino which was a great experience. All in all Garda is a great place to visit with lovely towns all around the lake, friendly people and easier to get to and round than Como.

Lake Garda is the most beautiful place ever visited. Garda itself has a friendly,laid-back atmosphere with easy access to other towns around the lake via the regular ferries. Plenty of places too to grab a bite to eat to suit all pockets and appetites.
