“Very enjoyable stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2013

We spent 4 nights here in the build up to and recovering from the Ironman 70.3 event in Pescara. We found the hotel to be excellent in virtually every respect and had a really relaxing time. The only matter that slightly affected our stay were that the walls between the rooms were fairly thin and so one night we were kept awake by a couple talking into the small hours and on the other side a couple who spent much of the night very actively! The outdoor pool and spa was great, breakfast on the terrace wonderful, food pretty good and all staff very helpful and pleasant. The location that the hotel on the beach was also excellent, including the restaurant there.

We staid there 2 days returning yesterday from Pescara. The food and the restaurant including service was excellent. The service varied (from person to person), but they were very helpful changing the room when we arrived. However, they did not managed to start the AC and the temperature was never below 26 C. We were told that they did not allow AC (regional regulation) at this time of the year. Anyway, the park was nice and the spa not to bad. Overall, we will com back next time in Pescara.

Room Tip: Again, ask for a superior room.

I've been to this hotel in august. I admit that common areas are nice. There is a beautiful garden and a nice furbished lobby, while on the other side corridors are dusty and old.
I frankly got a little bit disappointed about the room. The furnitures are ok. Nothing special but normal and decent. What really disappointed me was the bathroom...extremely old and uncomfortable...the shower, the tiles, the wc everything seem to be there for the last century...
i don't know if we were into an old wing, but I found the room not responding the image and the standard of this hotel.
Breakfast is good and full of options. When it's summer time you can have breakfast on the terrace with a beautiful seaview...
Overall i think the Spa and the garden are nice but the room is really nothing special...

Room Tip: ask for a new room.

The pool in the spa is small and the water is not very hot. They have just one yakusi for approximately 6 persona but is you go on Sunday forget it, it will be full all the time. The picture in the internet where shows the pool outside is nice but it is not true. The gate is close and in bad conditions full of rust. Very small sauna, turco and changing rooms. The only good think is the massage but in general I will not recommend to spend 45 euros in this spa.

This hotel is located in a quiet and peaceful location and offers a good spa.
Anyway the rooms are old fashioned and breakfast is very basic (though in summer you can have it with a great seafront view).
Staff is ok. The restaurant is good, but definitely too expensive.
Sometimes football teams playing in pescara stay there, but they often restrict the space for common guests.
Long story short, it is not a great price / quality ratio.

Hotel is a little bit far from the city center (about 18 euros taxi ride) but other than that, hotel is clean, rooms are spacious and modernly decorated, and customer service is excellent! Marco and Francesco at the reception were excellent hosts and did their best to help us with taxis and bus tickets to Rome, and Alvaro at the bar was a sweetheart. Would definitely stay here again!

Hotel is situated in the middle of a very green and spacious area. It's a few kilometers form the sea and from the boulevard, where you will find plenty of restaurants and ice cream parlors to spend the evening. There's plenty of parking (free). I arrived at the train station and used the stickers attached to the taxi pole to ring a taxi that took me in 15 minutes for 15 euro (same rate and more or less distance from both Francavilla or Pescara station).

The reception staff was friendly and check-in quick. The room was simple, but with all necessities, such as minibar, tv, hairdryer, safe, slippers and a small working space. It was possible to adjust the temperature in the room inside the room and to open the window. There was only one electricity plug in the room. My room had sea view, my colleague's room looked upon the garden which was beautiful too. Apparently the hotel offers a bus service to a private beach on a five minute ride. What made this hotel excellent was the spa. Apart from the usual sauna, turkish bath and emotional shower, there was a pool with hydromassage that went outside, were you stayed in the middle of flowers and trees. There was another pool outside for actual swimming. Sleep quality was fine in a comfortable bed, but must admit I used earplugs due to a noise that came in waves from outside (with the window closed), possibly from the air-conditioning. Also at 8.30 am I heard the cleaning ladies chattering. Breakfast was served either inside or on a big terrace with sea view that made me linger. All breakfast items were present, there was a wide choice. The freshness of the products was fine, there was fresh fruit, coffee served at the table, fresh croissants, eggs and so on. Check-out was quick and friendly. We also used a meeting room for work which was well equipped and well aired with the right temperature, which out of experience I have come to appreciate as a precious thing to achieve for a hotel. All in all I would come back without any doubt for either work or leisure related trips not only in Francavilla al Mare, but also in Pescara.

Room Tip: Ask to be placed in the renovated area of the hotel, as the older bit is apparently less "fresh...
