The hotel is beautiful and amazingly clean. We found the breakfast buffet to be very good, with a lovely selection and great Cappuccino. We didn't dine at the hotel because there seemed to be a party or wedding going on each night but found some lovely, reasonably priced restaurants locally. The swimming pool and gardens were beautiful. We were a little disappointed, when we booked a triple room, that my daughter had a temporary bed, which she didn't find to be particularly comfortable, the main bed was fine. There's several sources of light in the room at night, when the lights are switched off, which means the room is not dark, I found it difficult to sleep because of that, I'm sure it wouldn't bother everyone. The air conditioning unit worked beautifully. We used the shuttle bus, which is free to the beach once, which saved having to find someone to park. Very friendly staff.

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking the front of the property have great views but could be noisy during a wedding...

My husband and I stayed during August for a week and later joined by our daughters for 3 days. The hotel is charming and the gardens absolutely beautiful and lots of places to find quiet corners or go for a stroll. The pool is big enough for decent lengths and was rarely noisy or full. All the staff were extremely kind and helpful and recommended some good days out locally - Sperlonga was a favourite and a fantastic meat restaurant. The hotel's own food was not amazing but fine for what we wanted. Would go back again and recommend

Room Tip: We asked for rooms at the back to be away from late night partying at the front and this worked well...

We stayed here for a week after a few days in Rome, and it was the perfect place to relax. The staff are very friendly and very proud of their hotel, keeping it spotlessly clean and checking that you are happy with everything. Even the beautiful pool is cleaned three times a day. Our room had two double beds, perfect for the three of us, with a Jacuzzi shower and very efficient air conditioning. Breakfast was particularly good, with real cappuccino and a good selection of mini pastries, fresh fruit etc. And free wi-fi that just reached to the bedroom. With nearly all the other visitors being Italian, there wasn't the usual drama of getting up early to reserve sunbeds - even when we arrived at 3pm there were plenty to choose from. The outside is candle lit in the evening, continuing the friendly and chilled out atmosphere. The town of Gaeta is about 20 minutes drive away, which has a really nice little harbour and old town. And there's plenty of restaurants there and in Formia that serve good simple Italian food at reasonable prices. Whilst we didn't use it, the hotel runs a shuttle to and back from the beach. Its a modern hotel with excellent friendly staff, in a quiet location overlooking the sea, and a perfect place to be based to visit this area of Italy.

Myself and two other friends stayed in the Kora Park Resort in Formia for only two nights during a trip travelling round Italy, however it turned out to be one of the highlights of our holiday.
The hotel itself was perfect; set in lush grounds with an extremely clean swimming pool and surrounding area. Although there was only one restaurant with a set menu, the fod itself was cooked superbly and despite the fact that a wedding was taking place during our stay, the quality of service still remained extremely high.
I beleive that it was hte staff who never seem to stop that made our trip a success.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who was thinking of staying in or around Formia. I feel it is a little small to stay for more than a week but it was perfect for shorter breaks for all ages.

The Kora Park Hotel is a beautifully positioned hotel with a modern luxury feel to it, with all the attributes of a well ranked 4 star hotel. We booked a double and a triple and were immediately made welcome as we hastily checked in and dashed for the pool - a welcomed relief after a climb up Mount Vesuvius and a long day in the car. Pool towels were provided for free and the rooms were a fair size, nicely furnished and stylish. So we were all set for an enjoyable one night stopover. So lulled into the style and relaxing atmosphere of the Kora Park were we that we decided to take up their evening dining invitation - a definite mistake! The service was atrocious with the wrong order being brought to the order on each course served - the attitude to these service mistakes was unpleasant and rude. The food (when what had been served was correct) was good to very good, BUT was no way close to the standard that was implied by the billed that was presented. Breakfast was mediocre with narrow choices and slow replacement of items as these were taken from the buffet area. Stay at the Kora Park, but eat elsewhere may well be the best advice...except that the air-conditioning in one of the rooms was faulty and with no ceiling fan or good natural ventilation we broiled.

Despite these issues being raised at check out, no convincing apology or acknowledgement of fault was displayed and we departed disgruntled - a shame because the hotel has a lot going for it.

Room Tip: Check that the air conditioning is working and eat elsewhere.

This is really a great place to stay. It is in every way up to its 4-star status. Nice and quiet on the hillside just outside the village with a distant seaview. Beautiful pool. Bathroom is rather small but everything very clean. At breakfast you get everything you need including a fresh cappuccino. Had also quick lunch at noon by the pool: a tasteful fish dish.
