We recently stayed at the Hotel Elimo in the charming town of Erice. The hotel is relatively easy to find with access to nearby parking areas. The staff was also very helpful with local information. Our room was comfortable and included a small terrace facing the street outside which was pretty quiet in the evening. The tourist crowds had waned by the time that we arrived and we were the only guests to have dinner at the hotel on the night that we were there. Still, the service from the waiter was superb, providing just the right amount of attention and providing interesting information about local custom and cuisine. The food at the restaurant was simply prepared, but fresh and very good. That combined with the stunning views from the dining room made it a most enjoyable evening and stay.

Beautiful ride up a mountain with never ending vistas . Erice is a true gem , very quaint ,friendly helpful locals , merchants . It is really a unique place , possibly our favorite in Sicily . Hotel elimo is beautifully decorated , the rooms are very comfortable . Upper floors can be reached by elevator. The staff especially Alex was great . Included breakfast was ample . If I ever get back to Sicily erice and elimo would see us again and for a longer time !

Erice in general seems to be a different world. All streets are cobblestoned and somehow you have the impression that time has stopped (even though you have to blend out the masses of tourists that arrive on a daily basis and that will disturb your picture of a medieval town).

The hotel gives you exactly the same feeling. The room we had was very large and comfy. Everything seems a bit outdated though

The service was really good. The receptionist was very friendly to recommend us a very good restaurant (review will follow as soon as I remember the name) because unfortunately the hotel restaurant was closed that day.

The breakfast was not impressive though. Some of the croissants where clearly from the day before, but if you stick to local food you are safe.

Room Tip: We had a room on the top floor that was really nice and had a great view in two different directions of the city.

You cross the threshold of the Elimo Hotel and enter another world. The owners and staff of the hotel were kindness personified: you could not get better service. Wonderful ambience, great room, fantastic location and breathtaking views across the plain. Esape from the heat of the day with a mid afternoon marsala and cake.

Good location, very convenient as everything is around the corner. Okay, not difficult in this small town. Breakfast average. Room was big and had sitting area and tabel with four chairs. A bit warm in the room as they kept the remote control for AC in the reception. But, was okay. Nice sunroof and patio to have a drink or two...
