A 15 minute ride with great views of Trapani, the sea and all around. Sounded easier and faster than the switchbacks up to Erice. Really nice town when you get there. Would have given a four star had not there been a 20 EUR protection tax to watch the car courtesy of the local criminals. By the time we came down the local police was there and they were gone. I saw other reviews that had a similar experience. Perhaps enough advertising will end this crap.

I have vertigo and was very impressed. I was able to enjoy it and not have any side effects. Service was speedy.

Exciting, comfortable, inexpensive, amazing views. What more can you ask for?

From the cruise port,a bus takes you to the cable car station for euros 1.40 each way. The cable car costs 9 euros return. The cable car leaves you at the bottom of the main street, Vittorio Emanuele. f you prefer to go at your own pace, this is better than an organized excursion.

No long lines to get ticket or to board the cable car. Perfection!

We took a driver and did Segesta, Trapini and Rrice. The first two were great. Erica is a tourist trap. Lovely setting but dozens of schlock houses selling real junk. Worst of all: we stopped at the wooden booth at the entry to town that held itself out as the tourist informs.bureau. They were anything but. They sold a package of entries to what they said were the five most important sites. We found one, a somewhat interesting museum. The others held absolutely no fascination. The so called best was closed. The really fascinat places in town were not included. We asked for our money back but they declined.

What a great little medieval town perched high on a mountain.

Amazing views. The day we were there the cloud formations were below us.

Cobbled streets, plenty of bars, restaurants and of course the tacky tourist shops. Free entry but paid parking.

Worth a visit
