“Very interesting town, nice place to stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2012

We meet the owner at the edge of town and followed him into this narrow streeted place where he showed us where to park. The apt was nice and very quiet. The owner was very helpful with everything including making our first night's dinner reservation. Would recommend this stay when traveling this area of Sicily.

Wonderful 3 night stay in Erice. Our three room apartment was spacious on the second floor with an outdoor seating area. Making Italian coffee in our little apartment was fun. We enjoyed walking around Erice at all hours. It is a very quiet time of year in Erice. I would definitely recommend staying here. Massimo, the manage is very helpful .....he recommended nice restaurants.

Erice is a magical place. Pietre Antiche is a very large apartment pretty much on top of the hill, a perfect location to see all of Erice, yet in a quiet spot away from the tourist shops. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

We had originally booked the apartment for only two nights, but as soon as we saw the place we asked whether we could stay for a third night. Luckily for us this was possible. The apartments are bang in the centre of Erice and very well furnished and equipped. Massimo met us at the cable car station and showed us where we could park our car for free. He also drove us and our luggage from the car park to the apartment (and took us back there when we left). Indeed, he deserves a medal for all the help and advice he gave us. Six-star service! Erice is a very pleasant little town with plenty of interesting sights. In October it also was very quiet, apart from the odd cruise ship group being herded through during the day. One additional tip perhaps: we found the road from Valderice the easiest to drive up. If you are coming from the motorway spur, take the SS187 up to the middle of Valderice and then follow the signs to Erice. There are a few hairpin bends, but nothing scary.

We stayed for one night in the top floor apartment which was absolutely wonderful. So much attention to detail has been put into this place that you would like to stay there for much longer. Although the weather wasn't too good it still made the stay very memorable indeed.
Massimo, the manager, is ever so helpful with lifts and tips etc.

Massimo met us in Trapani and drove us to the appartment in Erice, wow, we were delighted with the lovely apartment,so big ! With a lovely terrace to sit out on.
Massimo was the perfect host and advised us on all the restaurants to try during out three day stay there.
We loved the appartment so much we will have to return for longer.
Right in heart of Erice it was just what we wanted and a perfect start to our holiday in Sicily.

From the minute Massimo met us in his car and took us to the apartment we had a great experience. The apartment was spotless and very well decorated and designed. If we had one critcism it would be that the saucepan needed replacing and we could have done with a kettle and cafetiere rather than an expresso coffee maker. Massimo was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the Begonia apartment and I was concerned about the bells of the churches as I am a light sleeper. And yes they do toll day and night, every 15 minutes but they didn't wake me up. We wouldn't call it a self catering apartment but rather somewhere to sleep and have a snack.
