“Good food in Erice”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

We enjoyed our dinner here. The 4 of us shared a smoked fish appetizer, the teenager of our group enjoyed his ravioli, I had an outstanding swordfish pasta, my sister had a great fish, clams, and mussels with rice, and my husband enjoyed his couscous with fish. We shared a nice dessert that was like cannoli filling with cake, which might have been specially made for us to accommodate a nut allergy in our party (not sure). This was one of our better meals on Sicily.

“Exquisite tastes”
Reviewed September 18, 2013 via mobile

Having a good meal is expected in Sicily, however this place raises the bar - the pasta dish named after the Egadi was perfect, I particularly liked the idea that they get the pasta in a dish and serve it to you on the table; I feel that this allows for a more even spread of ingredients and the dish's temperature is uniform throughout which is great for the palate. The Fish which another person had was good... as expected. The surprise was the meat ( given that by the staff's own admission their strength lies in the Fish dishes) which was simply perfect- the lamb is highly recommended. A definate must go.

“Lovely, Memorable Meal In Erice”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

Our guide Jackie recommended this restaurant and our group ended up being delighted with the choice. We were a large group of 10 with various size appetites and preferences. The Seafood Couscous and the Rigatoni Alla Norma earned raves from our group. Very tasty. There were serious foodies among us so any compliments are weighed carefully! We had no problems with the service which says a lot for our size group.

“Expectations not met due to service, attitude and food”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

There are arguably two restaurants that are a must when in Erice - this one and San Rocco.
We ate in both. San Rocco was the first night and they set the bar quite high. San G maitre d should take a moment to eat in his own restaurant. He would realize, that crowds alone do not portend a great meal. The service was beyond slow, the food was brought out in dribs and drabs with no real order, and the quality was average at best. But in August, they did not seem to care as the crowds were with them.

“not such a big deal”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

Keepign in mind the high consideration this restaurant has
for the locals and the other tripadvisor suggestions,
the panaroma view is ok but not breathtaking
the food was ok as well but not amazing either
the service was quick and fast..
they might not speak english fluently
it is very loud.
