La Perla was an unexpected piece of true elegance hidden in the magnificent Dolomites. I have travelled the world, and was still impressed by the tiny La Perla. The staff's knowledge of the region and the trails and activities is what makes it perfect (ask them anyting and they know it). The rooms are lovely with incredible attention to detail (from the soft wool blankets on the balcony, to the chic lighting in the bathrooms, to the smooth sheets, to the room darkening window shutters). And the food at all the restaurants is lovely. I've never seen a more bountiful and elegant breakfast spread than at La Perla. The Osteria restaurant has a fun atmosphere with delicious local food. and somehow the "super-fancy" gourmet restaurant manages to be over-the-top while not being stuffy. We travlled with our two children (ages 8 & 10) and they adored the indoor swimming pool and outdoor treehouse. Only good things to say. (note: reviewer lives in NYC)

Room Tip: Rooms facing town and the mountains have the best view.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. It is one of the best hotels I've ever experienced. They upgraded our room to a much fancier room because it was available ( worth 50 euros more every night). They bent over backwards to make us feel valued. The 4 restaurants are superb quality. Don't miss La Stua for a once-in-a-lifetime dinner performance. The nightly events (eg, "aperitif night") are delightful. Mr. Costa helped us plan our hikes every morning. You will NEVER find a more indulgent, delicious, and anxious to custom-make-your-wildest-dreams breakfast buffet anywhere! If you can afford it, stay here, you will be so happy you did!

Room Tip: Get a terrace view of the mountain if you can.

The only problem with our stay at La Perla is that we booked for four nights and should have booked for seven! Superb service, spectacular food and an outstanding physical facility all contribute to make this family-run hotel great. Beautiful, cozy and welcoming are just a few of the words that come to mind. For us, one of the very best parts of the experience (really a better word than "stay") were our daily hikes/climbs with Marco and Linda. These mountain experiences were tailored to our individual abilities and included some memorable, adventerous moments. Back at the hotel, we would relax in the spa, then head to the bar for a drink with great jazz in the background and then look forward to choosing between one of three superb restaurants. We especially liked Murine which is in a converted barn about 50 meters from the main building. And don't forget the breakfasts!!!! My eyes are still popping out my head. The Costa Family does everything humanly possible to make this an unforgettable experience. Top things off with an environmentally conscious ethic and attention to the good cause supported by the Costa Family Foundation and you as close to perfect as it gets. Bravo!

Great room. Great atmosphere at the apres ski. The bar during the day. Ski lif accesses are also extremely close and user friendly. Worried that my young children would not be very welcome as its more of a mature ambiance, but they felt and were made to feel welcome and comfortable. Everything is there for a reason, very well thought out and each family member has a responsibility and a task which you can see they have their stuff really right congruent and together. From the food to the rooms to the decor to the small touches. Everything great.

This is simply a superb hotel, in one of the most beautiful parts of the world.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights, while on a cycling trip last summer. In summer, the sleepy ski village of Corvara is the perfect companion for this hotel and also a very convenient base to explore the Dolomites on a bicycle.

The hotel itself is exceptionally clean, with a very helpful staff. Speaking English did not present a problem for them. The rooms have a very "country" feel, being of moderate size but very well appointed. I was a little taken aback by the rose in the toilet bowl but I got used to it!

There are plenty of options for dining in and around the hotel. In the hotel itself, I had a wonderful dinner at the La Stua di Michil, serving the best oxtail soup I have ever tasted! Also, there are plenty of dining options within walking distance in the village of Corvara.

Overall, I would suggest this hotel as the place to stay in Corvara. You will not be disappointed, especially with the strudel they give you on departure!

La Perla is small enough to give you the cozy feeling of being in a "home", while large enough to offer a wide selection of services. We would especially like to point out the quality of the staff, the attentiveness of the Costa family, and last but not least the superb food and outstanding wine cellar.

Residing in this inn is like being with family and friends who cater to your every moment with sincere smiles filled with love. From the cozy bedrooms to the initimate dining areas to the softly lit bar where all the locals are happy to meet newcomers, one can fill nothing but tranquility. We travel to many locations throughout the world only to find we cannot live without our Hotel LaPerla. Each time we leave we are sad, but know we will return in one year if not sooner. This past January was our 8th visit!
