I strongly recommend the hotel. The room very large, comfortable and impeccably clean. It was actually a mini-appartment more than a room because besides the bedroom, there was a living room and we actually had two bathrooms, extremely clean. I read previous reviews about old furniture: the furniture isn't actually old, it's simply in the typical Ampezzo/Tyrol style, which I think is lovely. The location is enviable, it's situated in a square where there is no heavy traffic, so it was actually very quite, the only noise came from the nearby belltower, of which we had splendid view from our balcony. It's close to the main street, the Corso Italia where there are many shops and also close to the bus station. Everything was really in walking distance. The hotel restaurant, where breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner, was served was also very good, clean and the maitre and waiters extremely courteous. The reception staff were also extremely kind and willing to help. Our stay was great and we would certainly go back.

I recommend this hotel. It is really near the bus station. It has a great location and a fantastic view with balconies. The triple room is very large with two separated rooms. The beds are comfy and the bathroom is very clean. This is a typical hotel with old furniture and wood, but that makes it the way it is! The breakfast is good and complete with a good service. The waiter remembered us and served us the same coffee as the morning before. :) The staff is also really helpful. I highly recommend this hotel for its location and overall experience.

We stayed for a weekend in Cortina. The structure is old but well kept. Personnel is kind and helpful, breakfast excellent.
The hotel is situated next to the main "Corso", offers indoor garage at a cost, and the rooms are big and airy. Price for the room with B+B is vey competitive.

Deluxe room was of sufficient size, but furnishing were worn. Bathrooms were old and shower stalls were tiny (the smallest I have ever seen. Only liquid soap and no soap bars. Staff were truly incompetant. Niether of the two people on duty at reception were able to locate the hotel on the town map nor could they locate the restaurant we wished to go to. Breakfast was mediocre

The only positive about this hotel was its very central and convenient location

I don't know what a 4 stars hotel means in Italy, but as we are used to in American Continent, Hotel Alaska should be a 2 Stars Hotels. Room are very ugly with very cheap furniture, Internet is free, but you have to go down every two hours to get a new password, and people at frontdesk sometimes can be very rude. About the A/C, I report it was not working and late in the night after I saw it was still not working the girl in the reception told me " what happens is that we do not ave A/C", i know most of the year you're not gong to need it, but believe me you would want to have it in July.
