Best place in cortina. Especially when you go there right after skiing directly from the slopes.
Try pasta with Ricola and mandorle ...

Situated by the slopes in Cortina (but possible to reach by car)it is an experience not to miss. A gathering point for the wealthy locals, it have this relaxed yet exclusive feeling. And the food is great. The most famous dish is spaghetti in onion soup. Great along with a full bodied glass of red wine. Almost impossible to get a reservation by phone but try to pop by and make a reservation directly at the place. Worth it!

This place is a 14 euro ride from town but it is fantastic. This is where the Italians who know Cortina come to eat because the food is outrageous and the service is excellent. Big tables are available and it's formal without being fussy. The location on a sunny day is magic. People can spend hours on the outside deck visiting and drinking wine while the seating indoor is beautiful and all around large windows. The menu s quite large and varied enough for everyone. My hosts suggested the local specialty for a starter which is cod in a light cream sauce over polenta. It could have been the main meal! Very unusual and yummy. Salted cod or bacalao is very common in this area being it is close to the Adriatic sea. The Venetians learned how to preserve cod in salt centuries ago. This dish is surprisingly light and herb-y. The pasta with vegetables and olive oil and scallions was also terrific and quite sophisticated. This is one of the best restaurants in the area and really should be experienced.

We went twice to El Camineto while in Cortina. The food is very good, the staff very nice and the owner is always around to help in everything you might need.
The place is very tastefully decorated and the bathrooms very confortable. You can go directly from the slopes in the Tofana side.
This restaurant is a must if you visit Cortina.

The food and service were amazing!!!! One of the best meals my husband and I have ever had! My husband had the pistachio crusted lamb and I had the black cod, both dishes were excellent! I Would highly recommend this place!
