I had scorpion fish for dinner, was the best meal I had in Italy. Fish with fresh veggies and homemade pasta. Unbelievable

This is a proper restaurant with plush decor and charming service from the English-speaking manageress. They offer a very comprehensive menu including local specialities as well as the usual international dishes, but it is very clear that their fresh fish and seafood dishes are what they expect people to go for. I had the langoustine risotto and my wife had the lobster in tomato sauce with pasta: all delicious. As an added bonus they were happy to provide a taxi all the way back to the gangplank of our ship at the cruise terminal. The only thing that stopped me giving it five stars was the fact that the credit card terminal wasn't working and they had very little change in the till, which made paying the bill slightly more complicated that it should have been!

Don't be in a hurry or you will be disappointed. Think up to an hour between ordering and getting your main course and two hours for the whole meal, but if you are as fortunate as us the wait will be worth it.
Also, don't be afraid to say what you'd like and leave it to the Maitre'D to suggest something. We asked for fish, pasta and salad and were given Scorpion fish (new to us), a wonderful pasta in even better sauce, and a very fresh mixed salad.
The restaurant has a very extensive wine list, much of which was new to us, but don't be afraid to go for the cheaper end - we had a local white wine called Satrico - slightly aromatic, not as harsh as your cheaper Sauvignon, and altogether very nice.
Hope you enjoy the meal as much as we did.

The setting is great, the food and personal service is great also. Not crowded and is most enjoyable to dine at and enjoy the setting sun. Quite romantic.
the hotel San Giorgio which the restaurant is a part of was a delightful place to stay as well, with nice rooms, a great sauna and gym.
I highly recommend this complex to stay at while you enjoy this beautiful part of Italy.
We stayed two nights in July 21st 2015.
