This place is super unique and stunning. Definitively Tuscan with homegrown oil and wine to prove it. Beautiful design and extra stunning garden and landscaping. Pool is a serious hit.
All these reasons make it 5-worthy, and I feel like I would be giving a dishonor if it was any less... BUT:

Some attention to detail is totally lacking. It's been a few weeks and I can't remember all the details, but they were noticeable: the shower leaked a good amount of water and had some poor trims (like damaged stucco instead of pretty tile-work or marble), the door to the entrance had ventilation holes that brought in a good amount of sound, the parking in the front didn't give enough back-up space, so leaving took a 5-point turn...

They're little things, but when you're paying this much for a hotel, those should be covered.

Lastly, we had a HUGE A/C problem that couldn't get fixed becuase it was Sunday... it leaked, it made tons of sound (like the kind that you couldn't go to bed with), couldn't turn it off, and it wasn't consistent, so it was always surprising you! I know that was a one-off issue, but damn, did it make that night's sleep TOUGH.

Location is also sub-par, although the view are great.

Very mixed feelings!!

My husband and I loved this place! The food was delicious - we actually ate at the restaurant both nights we were there. They make their own olive oil and their own wine - delicious and priced well! It is pretty quiet throughout the day and night which makes for a very relaxing vacation. The staff are incredibly helpful and can recommend some great wineries (we highly recommend Avignonesi) and day trips. If you are driving yourselves around, we would recommend getting GPS. The pool is a gorgeous place to sit and relax.

Spent 8 incredible nights there on our honeymoon. Simply amazing. Very personal, the staff are amazing and make a huge effort with the guests. The setting is tuscan magic.
Silence around the pool, and generally very peaceful around the hotel, make for a relaxing and resting stay. Great olive oil and red wine grown and produced in the grounds. Easy to reach from the motorway. Lovely rooms with stunning bathrooms. Some might prefer bigger hotels with more going on, and not ideal for children, but i couldn't speak more highly about this hotel! hope to be back soon...

Great hotel convenient to Montepuciano, Picenza, and other sites in Tuscany. Good food, nice pool, great views of the surrounding countryside. We wish we had spent more time at the hotel, instead of sightseeing. Only small recommendation - improve the dinner/breakfast music? Otherwise, food and atmosphere was great.

We loved this small hideaway with a touch of tuscan style, yet modern interiors. It is a calm, intimate place for couples of all ages. The Manager, Paulo was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is surrounded with a beautiful garden, nice view over the valley and a lovely pool. At the pool, there is sun shaded lounge, nice to hang around. Our room was nr. 4 on the first floor with two entrances, one from the outside. It is a super deluxe and I think it is the nicest room. Huge modern bathroom, the room itself is minimalistic but comfortable and gets lots of sun. For those who like a terrasse with nice loungers and a table, I suggest the indipendent villa, although the room seems to be a lot smaller than nr. 4. Only negative about room nr. 4 is, that the soundproof is not very good.
Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. Ask for an espresso and forget the big coffee pot on the table.
We had dinner each night at the hotel. The outdoor restaurant terrasse is a very romantic place for lunch and dinner.Try the creme catalan and the chocolate cake, also the picci (pasta).Prices are reasonable and the wineliste is small but with a very good selection. Menu was the same during our stay, it would be nice to vary a little more. Snack is all day long available, try a affettato misto plate (cheese, cold meat), its great with glass of white wine. On Monday night, the restaurant ist closed, but you still get an affettato misto plate.

The hotel is in short distance to the highway, so all major places like Siena, Florece are reached in an hour or less. Can highly recommend this beautiful place. Good value for money. Go before it becomes popular.

Room Tip: Nr.4 on the first floor with a second separate entrance from outside. Or indipendent villa if a terr...

Can't say nothing but good. Place is beautiful, nicely renewed building with modern interior, superb bed and bath, luxurious pool and garden.
Professional staff from the gardener till the chef. The food was brilliant and the chef came to our table to make sure we enjoyed every piece of food.
Very friendly and helpful manager and owners.
This is a working boutique hotel with only 9 rooms.
Making there own olive oil and wine.
Representing the real Tuscan catering from every point of view.

A little piece of heaven on earth!
An absolute dream of a place and every effort is made to make your stay memorable.
Cannot praise enough. Small enough hotel for a personal touch to be provided.
Attention to detail and an obvious pride in his hotel provided by Marco.
