“Good Food Friendly Staff”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

From the top of Old Town you can stop off here and get your "fix" of the best Gelato in Chianciano and with it the best view. This is my 3rd visit to the town and I would not miss having more than one meal here. ALL the pastries are fresh and one better than the next. I usually have the tagliatelli meat sauce. My friend had bean soup and she said it was the best ever. The owners (mother & daughter have been doing their "cooking magic" for over 26 years...and it shows it. They always have a warm "buongiorno" for everyone that passes thier doorway. DO NOT miss going here.

“Spritz time with some amazing views!”
Reviewed September 12, 2013 via mobile

While on my G Adventures Southern Tuscany tour, we came across this gem. After a recommendation to try a spritz, we sat down at one of the outdoor patio tables and enjoyed said spritz (which I actually wasn't too fond of), as well as pita-like chips, walnuts and miscellaneous other appetizers.

The views were spectacular and the service was exquisite. I actually came back a few days later to order a sandwich to go, which was pretty good.

“The place to have the famous "Torta di Chianciano"”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

We got in by chance the first time we went there and asked the lady what was the round cake displayed in the window. She cut out two portions and said: "Just taste it!" As there was no room on the terrace, we decided to leave and asked how much it was. She simply said that it was a present... When we returned, we sat down and ordered coffee to go with it. I can assure you it is one of the best sweets to be found in Italy. On top of this, the panorama over the Val di Chiana is simply breathtaking. An unforgettable moment...

“You had better speak Italian”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

We arrived at 7.00pm in expectation of good things after reading trip advisor.we had asked for a menu but our Italian was as good as the ladies English and was told only pastries or gelato.we sat on the terrace and the view is as good as everyone else has said. The pastries were stale and had seen better days. Before we left a couple came in speaking Italian and got a menu and a cooked meal.not the friendliest place we have been to. As I have said the view was fantastic but you can get that 50yards up the road towards the clock tower where there is a sign that is written in English Which I will let you read for yourselves.
