This villa has it all, real Tuscan decor, amazing views, a pool, and a great location! We spent a month in this villa as a family of seven - with three kids - and could not have been happier. Raffael, the villa owner, is incredibly generous, sharing wine, limoncello made from lemons on his property, vegetables grown on the property, and olive oil made from his own olives. He also made us handmade pizzas from a pizza oven on the property for dinner while we were there.
This villa had charm, and I had read in an earlier review that people working on the property became part of that charm and experience, and they could not have been more correct. We began to look forward to seeing Raffael each day and having time for a quick chat with him. We were also incredibly fortunate to meet his wife, daughter (who cooked a meal and babysat for us) and his friends. We were also connected with a local cook, Averino, who was beyond talented. Everything he cooked was delicious.
Raffael recommended us to some amazing local places - wineries and restaurants - and we were treated like royalty at each of those locations because we told them we were staying at Il Biancospino (Raffael's villa). It was an amazing month in Italy and if we every have the opportunity to go back to Tuscany, we would only consider staying here.
