“Good, but not outstanding”
Review of Gelateria Jolly

A good Gelaterie, but I don't think it deserves all the reverence and a score 5. Ice-cream was okay, but i think it wasn't properly storaged. After 1 minute it was completely melted and the kids made a mess. I expected much more from a place scored 5.

The store is beautiful and the ice-cream outstanding. Lots if different options. When its crowded you have to pay first and then take your receipt to the person behind the counter. Great experience!!!

We have been customers of the Gelateria Jolly for a very long time so we have tried practically every flavour and enjoyed them all. Here they use fresh ingredients and a touch of imagination to produce ice cream of outstanding quality, whereas in the centre of Milano Marittima you can spend twice as much for an ice-cream that is only half as good as what you get here. The Gelateria is in a splendid location close to the single-leaf bascule bridge over the canal, facing the two historic salt warehouses and the Torre San Michele (built in 1691 to defend Cervia and its saltbeds against Saracen invasions), and a charming public garden where you can sit and enjoy your ice-cream surrounded by fragrant rosemary bushes, while admiring the Magic Carpet fountain by the poet and artist Tonino Guerra (screenplay writer for Fellini). The interior of the Gelateria was recently renovated and is a fine example of contemporary Italian design, while the wooden seating area outside and the pine trees in the front garden add a touch of class. Here you can even ask them to turn your ice-cream upside down and dip it into a pan of hot chocolate to cover it with chocolate glaze, and although it can give rise to separation anxiety (in the sense of the ice-cream getting separated from the cornet) there is really nothing to worry about. Try it once, you will want to try it again.
