This pizzeria/restaurant is not elegant, but you can get the best pizza in Cernobbio. Also the seafood is well prepared ; In fact the owners are Sicilian and they know very well how to purchase and prepare it. They have not a large wine selection, but what they have is good and not too expensive (for fisf I would recommend a Falanghina or a Fiano d'Avellino). Very good the starters ; I would suggest Insalata di mare (very fresh) , polpo with patate (Octopus with potatoes) or Gamberi con pomodorini (shrimps with tomatoes). Then you can have pasta with seafood or a pizza. Desserts are homemade (nothing really special).
The negative side of this restaurant is the poor service. At the beginning they are quick to serve you, but after the starter it is very difficult get in contact with the waiters. You can image how long you have to wait for a dessert or the final espresso.
I also recommend to do not seat outside becuse the terrace is just in front of a small river and there are too many mosquitos. The internal room is anyway very noisy.

I don't know where to start. This is a locals' favorite. While the sign reads pizzeria, the speciality here is seafood. The branzino al sale is to die for. I prefer dry pasta to homemade pasta and this place has my favorite pasta dishes in the area. Give the spaghetti frutti di mare a try. The pizza is also fantastic. For dessert, you have to try the meringata a cioccolato. We have introduced numerous friends to this place and it immediately became a must meal upon their return to the lake. Keep in mind that it is closed for most if not all of August each year.

When you see the restaurant from the outside you'll think "This is too ugly to be good." Our designer friends from Toronto said that their outdoor sign offends every good sense of taste from color, to font, to size. I'll admit my bias that we've been going here for years and I'd be disappointed if they tried to doll the place up.

This is one of those gems where you can go casually, spend little and eat delicious, high quality food. It is managed by two Sicilian brothers and they do an unbelievable job. It is necessary to make reservations for dinner as the place is packed with locals. If you're staying at the villa d'Este or any of the Cernobbio hotels, this will be your favorite nearby restaurant. Go in your jeans or your shorts and leave the tux for the villa d'Este at 10 times the price.
