We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and after couples days that we spend in sicilly it was good choice. Although the hotel is placed about 2 km from the city center, the location is very good. Superb view from the hotel terrace, good breakfasts (not just croissant and coffe) are the main pros. Bathrooms are clean, but need to be renovated, though it's not so important when you don't spend too much time in the room.
We recommend this hotel for a short stay.

I stayed there for a night with my parents. We had a big room with separate bedrooms. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a huge balcony with a great view. My only problem with the room was the soap dispenser in the shower. The staff was nice but service at the bar could be a bit better.
There is free wifi, a very nice pool, a great terrasse overlooking the sea (with a bar) and there are stairs bringing you to the sea (I would have spent the day there and went to the sea if it wasn't so cold: I was there in May). A free parking is also available.
The restaurant had a great service and the food was good (not the best I had in Sicily but still good).
This is the kind of place where you go and stay a week and I would definitely recommend for that kind of trip or even for staying just one night.

I always enjoy finding a Trip Advisor suggestion better than the reviewers state. This was definitely one of them. It is a large hotel, perched on the top of a rock overlooking the sea and surrounds. It may have a lot of guests, but it has so much space it is easy to find your own private space. There's the very large swimming pool, tennis court, terrace area for both breakfast and lounging, the beach some way below down a long flight of stairs and the flat area next to the pebbled beach. The views are breathtaking. Breakfasts are fine. Self service and a lot of choice. The room we had was very comfortable. I would recommend going for Deluxe and getting a balcony as there appeared to be some rooms which were a bit dark. The drive into Cefalu takes minutes and there are a lot of parking places. Some are 24 hour. We found the ones in Via Roma ended at 8pm, so if you go in for the evening at say 7 it will only cost 1 Euro to park. Restaurants in Cefalu were pretty good. Serena at the hotel recommended one with a terrace next to the Dolce Vita B&B and it was great. Very good fresh grilled fish. You can also walk or bus in to Cefalu. We were much happier having a hotel away from the noise of the town.

Room Tip: Get a deluxe

I don't know what's with the negative comments that were made around the same time we stayed here, but this was the nicest hotels we stayed during our two week drive through eastern Sicily! I'm just sorry we couldn't have rearranged our plans and stayed longer. I booked a superior room via the hotel website for 104 euros/night. We arrived a little early for checkin after driving from Naxos and were asked to wait a few minutes while the room was being cleaned so we, not being in any rush, had a glass of wine. We were give the "Fivignana" room which was exceptionally roomy, clean, had a great shower, and had a fantastic view. Some of the decor in the hotel was, shall we say interesting, but my taste in art is not as good as for that for food and wine. The staff were most helpful and courteous, especially in the restaurant and the food was delicious. I like the location as it is a little outside of the city and I didn't have to worry about parking and signage is easy to follow. Actually, we liked it so much that we didn't even tour the city of Cefalu. The beach really isn't a beach, but more a a flat rock surface. If we come back to Sicily, we will seek this place out. Room Tip: Pick a superior sea view room

We loved this place so much that we changed our plans to stay an extra night. The views are amazing--the sea changes every day and every hour, and our rooms had nice balconies from which to appreciate it. Definitely pay the extra 20 EU for the sea view (we had a double for 99 EU), as the 79 EU rooms look out on the parking lot, pool, and highway (with a very distant view of the sea through the trees). The breakfast was very generous, with the usual pastries/bread/yogurt/fruit as well as eggs, salad fixings, cheese, meats, etc. The coffee stank, however--either bad 'drip' coffee or bad push-button machine espresso. And the restaurant, though one can eat on the terrace overlooking the sea, was only just adequate and rather over-priced. However, the hotel has a nice big deep swimming pool and access to a small but delightful beach. It also hosts a German adventure-tour type program and has MTB and scuba/snorkeling facilities. If we return to Cefalu (great town, by the way), we would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for the sea view and balcony.

What a shame. This hotel has so much potential but it was cold and remote. Big empty spaces and no real welcome or soul. The room we had was pleasant enough but despite being recently renovated, we suspect, it was strangely decorated and what on earth were the school soap dispensers doing in the bathroom and shower ...esepcially at that price? A very German dominated hotel which was not a problem for us but it was obvious that the hotel did not cater for other nationalities. And why on earth was no food available at lunchtime apart from a full lunch when the hotel is a good walk from Cefalu? If you are lying by the pool which is extremely pleasant and to be recommended you dont want to schlep into the hotel for water/drinks/or snacks let alone into Cefalu. But even if you bother, there were no snacks. Pleasant enough if you don't want any human contact but we won't be back. Cefalu by the way is great and well worth a visit but the walk in to town is a bit scary at night as there is limited lighting so take a torch.

Room Tip: ask!

We loved the terrace. It has a great view. The pool is ok. The hotel is not new and it shows. Walking distance from Cefalu old town (20 min?). All in all this is a hotel we would recommend.
