“Quiet and peaceful place”
Reviewed May 19, 2013 for a stay in October 2012

We spent a very relaxing holiday in one of the Dario's cottages. If you are looking for a place that is located close to the beach, in a quiet rural area surrounded by an olive trees that place is what you are looking for! kids can play safely outside of casa, playing on the beach and sea.. We enjoyed that as much as relaxing and pleasant evenings in Cefalu and other places recommended by Dario that we could visit during our holiday. Something I could call

“Charming Retreat”
Reviewed November 2, 2012 for a stay in October 2012

The Carob Tree cottage and Pini cottage were both wonderful. The property is just as described, a working farm, laden with lemons, oranges, olives. Pomegranate and fig trees were in arms reach out our window. My husband and I felt we were truly ensconced in the Sicilian experience, painted into the corner of a beautiful landscape by a Master. This property is for nature lovers who enjoy privacy and independent travel. It is not for someone looking for poolside cocktails. The beach we had all to ourselves, it was October, but blue and deep, albeit rocky in spots. Dario was so warm and gracious, as was his family. My only recommendation would be to mark the property more clearly. But we would return if given the opportunity, perhaps in a different season, for an assuredly different but equally interesting experience. Perhaps some day we will be so fortunate.

“Fantastic relaxing base”

Carob Tree cottage appealed to us because of its location on a small olive plantation and right on the beach. The description was accurate and the cottage and grounds exceded our expectations. Dario was very welcoming and we felt welcome to roam where ever on his property. I had mentioned to Dario in an email we had just got married and arrived to find a bottle of prosecco in the fridge, which was a lovely touch.

The cottage had everything we needed for our stay, and was a great location for exploring the northern/eastern corner of sicily.

His dogs were very good natured. Not once did they come up and beg for food when we were eating outside. The would just happily sit on the periphery.
Wireless internet signal strength in the cottage was good.

“Fantastic 2 weeks”
Reviewed June 22, 2012 for a stay in June 2012

We've spent two great weeks at this place. The location of the property is perfect - with nice quiet green and blooming area around, restaurant nearby, just few minutes drive to the charming Cefalu town and the gate opening to the great beach. The territory is enormous and very well maintained with dozens (maybe hundreds) of olive, lemon trees (freesh fruits for your tea!), palms and pines.
The beach is wide and we were amazed how few people there were even on weekend. The sea.. is fantastic! and sunsets are unforgetable!
The property was our home for these weeks. There is everything you need. we really like the design of the house.
Thank you, Dario! We'll be back one day for sure.

“A holiday cottage that fulfilled all promises”
Reviewed June 1, 2012 for a stay in May 2012

I was looking for a simple rural retreat where my husband and I could relax, sunbathe, and experience the best of the Sicilian beach experience and the Oasis di Salinelle and Carob Tree Cottage more than lived up to our expectations. Everything, from the drive to the cottage alongside an olive grove where tomatoes grow in rows to the pine shaded walk from the cottage to the beach, entered through a bright blue gate, was as characterful and charming as we could have hoped. Dario Livecchi is a delightful host and he has ensured that the grounds of the Oasis di Salinelle offer the visitor the opportunity to relax completely whilst drinking in the smells, sounds and sights of Sicily, shaded by the generous branches of the ancient carob tree.
