We took our 2 girls, 6 and 3 here this August. We were let into our accomodation around 4pm, the mobile home which I booked direct was very clean with quite a large bathroom (for a mobile home) plus it had A/C which was brillant at night. The facilities at the site are like those of a small village all based around a central square with shops and cafes. The pool and beach were lovely and we only left the campsite once to go to Venice on an organised trip which was great and well worth the money. Talking of which the cafes and shops were quite reasonalbly priced and with enough choice to make s/catering not too much of a challenge. Although we ate out a bit as there was 2 resaturants on site plus 2 within walking distance. The best one being the Pizzeria which was left out of the site and a short walk along the road - we had some lovely evenings there for around £50 for 4.

All in all if you like camping this is a lovely site and we had a great holdiday Just as a note it is a very big site and although the facilities cope well its very popular and there are lots and lots of people and very few English.

Echo other comments re lots of Germans and the siesta - don't arrive between 1pm and 3pm as you cannot get in and must wait in the road - there is limited site parking.

Roads to and from the site can be very congested - three mile queues of cars arriving most days, even at 10:00am. If you plan to visit Venice it's best to go by ferry from Punta Sabbioni about 10 miles away. It's a good way to arrive in Venice anyway!

The site has direct access to a lovely sandy beach. Great watersports, with windsurfing, hobie cats, pedalos and canoes, and the beach was well organised with plenty of loungers and sun shades (small charge)

Restaurants on site only fair, but there are several good ones within walking distance in Cavallino. The site has an excellent fruit shop.

Key Camp reps were great and keep a useful stock of left over equipment (tennis racquets, beach mats, umbrellas, etc) - well worth checking their stocks before you buy elsewhere!

We've just returned from a 10 day stay at Garden Paradiso with KeyCamp. Large but very well equipped site. KeyCamp were great, only disappointment was that the pitches were small and you felt like you were living with the people next door.

On the site between 1pm and 3pm Siesta is strictly observed, no car traffic at all, in or out of the site, all the shops on site are closed, no one is allowed to swim in the pool and my husband even got told off for playing badminton. Having said that the rules work and everyone obeys them. The site is spotlessly clean especially the Loo/Shower blocks. Two well stocked shops and Ice Cream counter that is open late, a great pool complex, bar, takeaway and restaurants.

When we went about 90% of the people on site were German, and most things were geared towards them, menus in Italian and German, announcements in Italian and German, felt a bit isolated as a Brit who spoke no Italian.

The entertainment in the evening was good but geared more towards adults than children, our 9 year old enjoyed the Salsa Dancing night and the Sketch shows but found the mimed versions of Les Miserable and Pinocchio a bit dull. For kids Gianni the somewhat eccentric Italian Artist is on hand to help kids paint ceramics for about 10 Euros each, he's a bit scary and speaks only Italian but our 9 year old created a masterpiece!

In summary a great site with wonderful facilities, it's on the beach and in a beautiful area. Would recommend KeyCamp and the site to anyone!

We have just returned from a 10 day stay in Garden Paradiso with Keycamps. The trailers were spotlessly clean and quite comfortable. Although they are meant to house 5, we (four adults 1 child) had two, and I would think that any more would be cramped. The site is superb, fabulous beach, great entertainment, not too expensive shops and bars. Food available all day. The patrons are mainly from Germany, with a smattering of Polish and Dutch visitors. Our nine year old didn't find many other English speaking children toplay with. There is a great restaurant called La Pergola right opposite the entrance to the site, and another a short drive away towards Aqualandia that served the most wonderful (HUGE!) steaks. This was called La Pampa. Venice is a must, and is about 40 minutes from Porto Sabbioni. Great places also at San Margheurita and Caorle.
All in all, a great holiday and I would recommend it.
