Quick trip to the beach from the Veneto hills found us hungry and longing for one more look at Venice, found our way to Treporti, ready to catch a vaporetto, no had to stop for lunch. Dropped in to Zanella for a quick bite and stayed for the afternoon for some of the best fish we had consumed in five weeks in Italy. Family day I think, the place was full with locals and what appeared to be half the primary school. Friendly service great house wine and the grappa as a digestivo was all I needed to forget Venice and head back to the first snow of the season.
