The hotel is placed at the end of Cattolica busy pedestrian area. Has his own parking but there is a free public parking in the back of the hotel. The rooms are clean, well equipped and maintained, but the soundproofing is not very good. Breakfast is a plus, with plenty of options. As a downsize, they ask a surcharge for the sea view rooms... and the view in the other side of the building, the close view of the wall and balconies of another hotel, is not very scenic.

We've visited Cattolica a number of times and visited a variety of hotels along the sea front. This is our third time at The Waldorf and it doesn't disappoint. Situated at the far end of the main resort road means it avoids the busy and sometimes noisy crowds, although nothing is more than a few minutes walk away. Two pools means there is plenty of room for everyone, and if you prefer the beach it is only a short walk across the road.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, all with balconies and many with superb sea views.
Breakfast choice is vast with a selection of pastries, cold meats, cereals and a hot plate. Evening meals are even more impressive consisting of an excellent buffet, followed by a choice of meat and fish regional dishes. Their Romagnola Gala buffets are particularly good.
Staff are friendly and helpful, with excellent English and nothing is too much trouble.

Room tip: Sea view is definitely a plus. Only book full board if you are a complete foodie!

Waldorf Palace is a very nice hotel. We had room with a seaview and that was great. Unfortunately they didn´t have roomsercice which we really missed. And you could not eat lunch outside y the poolarea, you had to be inside in a specific hour. The service, though, was great. Espescially DAVID CECCHINIi whom did everything in his Power to help us with everything. The breakfast was great. The hotel has two poolareas, so it was never crowded. In five minutes you were at the beach.

We stayed only 1 night (as planned) but could have stayed many more in this very relaxing area. Hotel staff were very helpful in giving directions to services in Cattolica & medieval walled city of Gradara. Able to use hotel bicycle to shop for wine & snacks at local shops. Rented a scooter from shop next door - wild ride we'll never forget! Only minutes away from beach, boardwalk & cafes. A bit further to find restaurants where you should order seafood! Unlike other reviews, we found the room very quiet - perhaps because we were there during slower season (almost no one on the beaches). Breakfast was excellent with endless trays of pastries, breads, meats, cheeses, fruit & coffee. We were soaked by the taxi driver from train station but hotel staff provided accurate & detailed instructions on how to catch the local bus to reach our train out in the same length of time & at a fraction of the price - much appreciated by these 2 backpackers.

Room tip: We were offered a view of the sea for 5 Euros - so glad we did! Corner room had an L-shaped balcony with table & chairs.

I needed to be in Cattolica off-season for personal reasons. I found an incredible offer with this hotel. Waldorf is comfortable, clean. staff icredibly nice. staff at the desk very helpful, staff at breakfast smiling and ready to make more fresh coffee, room-staff so personable as to ask news about the person I was visitng with in the local hospital. great breakfast, fresh fruit, plenty of pastries, american breakfast, and also german type bread.
I have no idea how it is in full season, when the hotel is full. nOw it is very very pleasant and perfect
