This hotel was an amazing stay.

Location: Its located within Castellini in Chianti (which is a very nice town in itself) and has beautiful view points from the pool and eating area. It is located close to some very tasty restaurants in Castellini, we could just walk over from the hotel. The hotel also has a restaurant, but we did not end up eating there.

Spa: It had a heated jacuzzi, turkish bath (steam room) and dry sauna which was open every evening and it was so relaxing to just sit in these. I only wish this was open all day, because I would have gone in the morning as well. It also has an outdoor pool which is quite beautiful - though we did not end up using this.

Rooms and other amenities: These are well maintained and clean and the staff is quite helpful. They also have a small library so you can pick a book and read it in your own time. You really need to come to this place with time to relax, else you will not be able to enjoy everything there.

Luggage & Car Park: You cannot drive up to the hotel entrance in a car (since the road does not allow for cars), you have to drive to the closest motorable road next to the hotel entrance (50 metre walk), park there for a few minutes, unload your bags and take it to the hotel lobby, then park in the hotel's parking lot and walk up back to the hotel (100 metres) through another route. None of this is too troublesome, but it would definitely help to carry light luggage.

Room tip: Try to get a room with the vineyard view - while the city view is also nice, the vineyard/ countryside views are way better.

We spent 3 nights here at the beginning of our bicycle tour of Tuscany. We had a fabulous room with upper level sleeping area and lower level sitting area. Sweet little terrace overlooking the valley behind the hotel. Nice buffet breakfast in the morning and I enjoyed lounging in the garden and pool after our rides

This hotel has a good location and is very beautiful. Room was big and clean, as well as bathroom. On one side it faces old town street, and on the other it has breathtaking panorama of Tuscany. Unfortunately our room was facing street, and there was some local band and a DJ playing incredibly loud music until midnight. Reception told us they are suprised as well and didn't know about this event. They told us they can't do a thing about it. In our opinion we should have been informed about this event when we made reservation. It's not a nice suprise when you come to get some rest and relax.
No matter what don't try to drive to the hotel entrance. Leave your car at hotel parking and bring your luggage from there. There are two periods - in the morning and in the afternoon when you can drive to the entrance to unload your luggage but we strongly advise not to do this. If you enter main street of old town you will probably be caught by local police.

The location is in middle of the main two streets downtown the village. To go by car, call first as it is not easy to access the parking and some days of the week, due to the local market, the streets are closed. The manager on duty is a Scotish lady who may orientate you well.

The hotel is an old and charming palazzo. Rooms are confortable and the hotel has the most complete facilities all around: a wine store, sauna, jacuzzi and outdoors a pool and a great garden. The restaurant is good and specially if you eat in the terrace, views to the tuscan valleys offer you great Tuscan postcard views.

What a beautiful location and gorgeous views! The staff was helpful and knowledgable and the room (102) was exceptionally spacious. Their location is conveniently located and easily walkable to every part of town. Since this was a 3-day stop between Rome and Florence for us, we took advantage of the beautiful back yard to relax on chaise lounge chairs, enjoy a picnic lunch of local cheese, salami and wine and soak in the exceptional scenery.
