“great food, long wait”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2013

unreal location, georgeous views, food was great, although we did have to wait a while for it. note that you will have to drive off the beaten path to get there from san donato and the road has a few tricky switchbacks.

lovely restaurant in the open Tuscan countryside, great food and service. their filetto all'aceto balsamico is probably the best fillet I have ever eaten in any restaurant anywhere.

“Excellent food and atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2013

This restaurant is the perfect combination of excellent Tuscan food with a lovely view of the Tuscan hills with atmospheric outdoor seating. Despite feeling like you are in the middle of nowhere, the staff spoke good English and the menu had English descriptions. The menu is a little limited and since Tuscan food is meat-heavy, we were initially worried that our vegetarian teenager would not find anything she was willing to eat. However, they happily modified the recipe for the pumpkin stuffed pasta to replace the meat sauce with a fresh tomato sauce. We all enjoyed our food immensely and felt that this was one of our most memorable meals while visiting Italy.

“Perfect little pit stop”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2013

We literally poppoed inot This delightful little restaurant at the bery last moment on our way to a winetasting... And the service was friendly and efficient and the meal was very filling and delicious...
Starter
I had a typical Tuscan soup of barley and beans and my husband had a soup of asparagus and potato. Both were generous portions and lovely...

Main course
For main course, I had a stew of wild boar and my husband and had a filetto balsamico. The wild boar was superb but the fillets a little bit forgettable although very well cooked and served with spinach on the side, it was a very good meal...
the service was slick enough to have us one the road in under 45 minutes without us feeling rushed.... A great little pit stop.

“Don't blink or you'll miss the restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2013

Like many small villages in Chianti, you travel the windy roads and before you know, you're past the only 3 buildings there! Well, this Osteria is one of them. We had passed this four times and made a point of returning to check it out. A beautiful setting in the hills of Chianti a short distance from Panzano where we are staying. It was a quiet day, a little chilly out so we opted to eat inside and not on the terrace. The food is wonderful and the service is attentive. If we have the opportunity, we will return for dinner!
