Owner description: Come on to discover the wine tasting in Tenuta Casanova and fun with Rita's cooking class. One day to appreciate the Tuscan wine, the extra virgin oil, the honey and Silvan's balsamic vinegar. In Tenuta Casanova, you will taste Silvano’s wines; Super Tuscany, Easy to Fall in Love and Chianti Classico, surrounded by beautiful and charmed Tuscan land.

There's a reason why this place is rated so highly and it's unanimous. What a gorgeous vineyard in Chianti - and we spent a wonderful day taking Rita's cooking class.

She doesn't speak any English, and it was tough at times to understand because Silvano was hosting lunches and wine tastings throughout the day (the translator was sick) - but the experience was totally worth it.

We arrived at 9:30am - the cooking class itself lasts about 5 hours - we made tiramisu, gnocchi, tagliatelle, focaccia bread and peppers - and then got to eat the meal on their beautiful veranda overlooking all of the region. We didn't leave until 4:30pm but it was an amazing experience and one we'll never forget. Neither of us really ever cook, but it was worth it.

There are not enough words to describe the wonderful experience you will have at this privately owned organic vineyard and farm. If you are looking for an intimate and informative day in the Chianti region then this is your destination of choice. Beyond the wonderful view and the tranquility of its location, the owner captures your attention by giving his personal experience and expertise in this region of wine making. His passion and dedicatiion to keeping his products (which include wine, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and aromatherapy oils and creams) exclusive and free from over commercialization is commendable in this massive competitive market. You are encouraged to have your senses challenged by tasting wonderful wines, fragrant truffle oil and extra virgin olive oil as well observing the mastery of making the most pure, delectable balsamic vinegar produced on the estate. You are encouraged to ask questions so immerse yourself in a world where quality, not quantity is of the highest importance. If all this is not enough, then the owners will be happy to have you join them for one of their cooking classes or private lunches that are also offered at their vineyard.

Tenuta Casanova is truly a tuscan experience with all that you could possibly want in one location. This vineyard is a great opportunity to see the wonderful hills of Castellina and to educate yourself on what Italians do best. Wine, food and the art of enjoying life!

My time at Casanova was wonderful! Silvano and his staff are very friendly and full of knowledge. The 30 year old Balsamic they make is to die for! The presentation of their products and the food they are paired with blew me away. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves wine and even to those who are just learning about wine :)

What an amazing experience. We are a mother and two daughters and were treated to a private cooking class. Rita and Silvano make you feel like a part of their family as soon as you meet them. Silvano invited us into their home and made us coffee while we were waiting for our class to begin. We spent the bulk of the day with Rita, and Silvano translating, as we made a seven course meal. We also got to taste their amazing wines, and visited the wine cellar and balsamic vinegar cellar, which is all homemade. The cooking experience was something we will never forget. They are amazing couple and we feel lucky to have met them.

We had a road trip in Chianti region and Tenuta Casanova came out as our top destination. We were brought to the wine cellar and introduced the steps in making wine and balsamic vinegar. We tasted their wines and last had a sumptous lunch. The organic food was produced using the farm produces. They are just awesome! The Balsamic Vinegar on ice-cream also was a great surprise to our tongues.

I am sure we'll be back again to join the cooking class. I'll remember to do an advance booking.
