“Value for Money”
Reviewed January 15, 2014 via mobile

I spent two nights at the Forum Palace Hotel on 10th of January 2014. The position of the Hotel is amazing just close by the Naples - Rome Highway. I was very impressed of the service that I received during my stay, in particularly from the front office department. Hotel facilities are good including the amazing food in the restaurant. It's a value for money hotel, highly recommend.

First, the bathroom was in a poor condition, everything was old and outdated. Second, towels weren't changed on a daily basis. The room didn't contain refrigerator, considering that the restaurant closed at 21:30, that was a problem if we wanted to eat or drink after the closing hours. The ad on "Booking.com" said that the hotel had a service of taking the visitors to the train station to Cassino, but apparently that wasn't true. Also, we couldn't use taxi from the hotel, because we were told by the staff that there are no taxis in Cassino. Breakfast was poor, there was no cheese. There was no internet connection in the rooms.

Needing a hotel for an overnight stay about 2 hours from Rome we picked this hotel almost at random. What a good choice. Owing to a car breakdown we arrived late, tired and hungry, half an hour after the restaurant had closed. No trouble - if we could go direct to the dining room they would ask the chef to stay on to prepare a simple but delicious meal. The room was very clean, very modern, good temperature control and above all very quiet. Breakfast, included in the room price, was excellent (a tip for fellow travellers is to ignore the coffee machine and ask the very helpful head waiter to prepare REAL coffee in the kitchen).
10 days later, on the return trip we decided to stay again and we were not disappointed!

We were on a group trip and there was complains about money and earrings that were stolen from one of the room. One lady also was cut and injured in the middle of the night when suddenly the heavy photo that was hanged above her bed fall and the glass broke to pieces on her body. No actions or empathy for these happenings from the hotel management.
No internet access most of the trip, stuff members don't speak English and hard to communicate, no minibar in the room although in the site it appear there is.
Breakfast was poor ,no cheese, no honey but this is maybe according to the trip group organizer company deal because for the other guests, the menu was richer and included more choices.

Unfortunately this hotel is a bit outdated. The service wasn't bad and our room was fairly clean but the location was poor. In addition, the air conditioning & dan in our room did not work. It was quite stuffy. The hotel was run-down and far from the city/activities going on. Out of 4 floors, I think we were the only ones staying there.

We stayed for two nights with a group of 40 people. Good quality restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Friendly staff, the rooms are clean and it would be nice, when the tele offered 1 or two channels in foreign language. One or two more electric sockets would be great.

We drove thru town looking for a clean and reasonable hotel to spend the night on the way to Positano. There were very few cars in their front lot which set off warning signals! I surmised that meant it was a shoddy hotel or over-priced. We went in and found it very reasonably priced so we booked a room for the night. The late night staff were so warm and excited to speak English to us
