I arrived with my wife and six children tired and exhausted after an 800km drive. We had got lost owing to a mistake in the Eurocamp Brochure which puts the campsite almost in Caorle. I rang the number on my wife's mobile and spoke to Eurocamp rep Pascale. She was helpful as she could be given her limited English. She could not direct us but found the location by deciphering a couple of the locals' directions.
We were not booked in and my frustration with the camp staff was quickly misinterpreted as aggression. They spoke to me in German rather than English. Lucky I understand a little German.
I was to encounter this "misunderstanding" again when I tried to leave the "Lager" between 1 and 3 pm when the staff enforce their siesta.
I'm glad I stayed with Eurocamp as the chalets were antiquated and have flaking asbestos roofs a health hazard. The mosquitoes loved my blood and I've only just got over that.
The small swimming pool "Penelope" fitted our needs best but could have been open longer.
