I learned about Silvia and Bruno's agriturismo from a post on Trip Advisor and booked it for three nights after seeing all the positive reviews. I am so happy to have made that decision! The awe of the landscape, serenity of the farm, warmth of the hosts and comfort of the apartment helped us to have one of the best holiday experiences ever. Our children loved the pool and running around the grounds. Lola the dog was a particular favourite of my daughter's.

We had dinner one night with Silvia and Bruno as well as their nephew and another couple. The food was perfect and we enjoyed our night chatting about where in the world we were from. Silvia obviously loves what she does and is very good at it too. We felt welcome and at home from the minute we got on the farm.

We hope to make our way back there again and would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone else. It was truly spectacular.

We spent three nights at Bruno and Silvia in June/July 2012 and could not be happier. The rooms/apartments were spacious and clean, and Bruno and Silvia made us feel almost like home, with ther great hospitality. Highlights include the great view from the terrace, the home made limoncello, the wonderful kittens and the cooling swimming pool. Silvias cooking is excellent and we enjoyed some of our best meals during our Siciliy stay here. To sum things up, we could not think of a better agriturismo in Sicily!

We stayed for two very interesting days at Silvia's and Bruno's at the end of October. The weather was windy and wet but the hospitality was genuine and warm. Silvia is a keen cook and the meals were delicious and entertaining, meeting other guests from other parts of the world. It made a big difference staying on a working farm, learning about the production and harvest of olives and almonds and really gave us a feel for a Sicily which many tourists will miss. It was also geographically a great base to start discovering the surrounding Greek and Roman history and we found both Silvia and Bruno really helpful and entertaining sources of information.

The farm is beautiful, the rooms excellent, and the welcome fantastic. Lovely pool and surroundings. Stunning views across olive groves to distant hills. All feels a long long way away from the bustle of nearby Caltanisetta and the motorways. Near fantastic sights like Agrigento and Villa Roman. Sylvia and Bruno are charming hosts who welcome you to their family table each night - don't miss this multi course meal, but remember to have little lunch! Our only complaint was that we didn't book in for more than 2 nights. The room is really a small apartment with good cooking facilities and dishes, pots etc supplied. Amazingly good value for a place with a pool. I was very sad to leave and dive back in to urban Sicily again

Room Tip: all great rooms

Silvia and Bruno are very welcoming and charming hosts of this rural B&B, which is also a working farm for, among other things, olives and almonds. Silvia also happens to be a very good cook, and they use as much of the farm produce as possible. Make sure you reserve a place at the dinner table at least once during your stay, and arrive with an empty stomach :-)
Don't rely on GPS to get you to the door. I'm afraid we did, and we got to see a lot of very narrow, rough backroads in the area. If booking via email, ask Silvia to give you directions from either Caltanisetta or Agrigento. I think it's about 12km from Caltanisetta.
The actual building is quite large, with 2 storeys and several guest rooms of various configuration. We had a lovely room with bedroom, bathroom and lounge/kitchenette area. There was also a small table and chairs outside our door.
There is a large swimming pool with plenty of lounges, and a covered area next to it, with tables and chairs, and a ping pong table and stairmaster. The pool was pretty chilly, but the sun was nice and warming.
Breakfast is taken in a large sun room at the rear of the house, with sweeping views over the rolling hills. Breakfast is typically european in nature. Each morning we were greeted by a freshly baked cake, just out of the oven. Delicious.
Obviously, you can't just walk into town, so it's a great place to relax and unwind by the pool with a good book. Unfortunately there was no WiFi when we were there. They have 2 dogs, and about 10 cats/kittens roaming the grounds, so you are never short of company.
We spent 3 nights with Silvia & Bruno, including 2 fabulous dinners. It's not a bad place to use as a base for the area, and Agrigento (Valley of the Temples) is about an hour's drive away, and in the other direction, the mosaics at Villa Romana della Casale near Piazza Armerina.
A great stay, and highly recommended.

We visited the Sillitti far in September this year. This is an absolute hidden haven with amazing hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It should definitely be on everybody’s ‘visit’ list, even for a few days, if ever coming to Sicily. So much to say, I don’t know where to start although my first point would be make sure you get the best directions from Silivia and don’t rely on your Sat Nav – ours took us on the ‘scenic’ route when there was a much easier way in.

We spent most of the week sat by the pool, enjoying the views (you can see Mount Etna on a clear morning) and soaking up the sun but we did manage to also venture out to see a few sights. Agrigento and Port Empedocle are only about 30 – 35 mins drive and a little further up the coast we visited the Turkish steps and the beach below. There is a very nice restaurant at the top of the steps down to the beach with great views. Perfect spot for lunch! We also visited Agrigento which is a must see too! Just down from Agrigento in San Leone we found a very nice fish restaurant called Il Pescatore.

Roman Villa (where the mosaics are) is a must to visit too. There’s a very nice local restaurant just before you get to the villas too which we found in ‘A Rough Guide to Sicily’.

Although these sights are a must see most of our visit was spent relaxing by the pool or wandering around the Sillitti’s amazing farm. It really is a wonderful place as you can probably tell from the pictures. Bruno and Silvia’s hospitality goes beyond the expectations and if you get chance you must have one of Silivia’s meals!

There’s a pizzeria about a 10 minute drive away called Il Cacciatore. It’s just after the 57km sign on the ss640 – a road you will get to know very well but ask Silvia for exact directions as it is a little hidden just off the main road. Excellent pizza’s and lots of choice. Full of locals on the Saturday night so we knew it would be good! Worth noting it doesn’t open until 8pm.

We came away after having a wonderful week very sad to leave. I hope everyone else enjoys their stay as much as we did.

We absolutely loved staying 3 nights with Silvia and Bruno at their lovely Catanessetta organic farm. The accomodations were immaculate and the food was superb. Gorgeous vistas... A real Sicilian countryside experience and optional dinners were a culinary delight. After completing a ten day tour of best of Sicily, my husband and I needed a countryside retreat and we found just the right place. Every breakfast was delicious and included a delicious homemade cake infused with Silvia's homegrown organic fruits. Her dinners (4 courses) were an absolute feast ...organic, fresh, and prepared to perfection. Lastly, Silvia and Bruno are great hosts who have a special way of making all of their guests feel truly at home... A truly wonderful experience ... Can't wait to return!
