Arrived from hotel round the corner as an overnight stopover from the main autostrada between milan and venice. Sort of artschool meets cookschool as one part is a nice modern cafe-style pizzeria and to the left is what looks part ancient and part mock ancient church with high ceiling and interesting art works. restaurant is linked to a cookschool hence some dishes i'd never had - eg pizza w pitsacchios and smoked ham and cheese. Also starter was 'gnocchi' but not as we know it captain - enormous cushions of pastry/gnocchi on the plate with really nice meat platter. prices less than €10 for pizzas and house wine by the glass (they suggested bordeaux but as we live in france we got them to give us a beefy red prob valpolicella. great fun and good surroundings - a lucky find!
