Hotel is located next to the lake. We had lake view room which was nice, although the room was furnished old fashioned dark wood furniture, which made the room look very heavy. So the room was little dissapointment. Breakfast wasn't good, not much of choice, and not fruits. Hotel's restaurant was really good, and they had really nice service! There is no beach, but there's stairs in to the lake so you can swim there. It was July, but not many people in the hotel or in Brenzone. No noise from outside, we slept very good. There's also an ice cream cafe next door.

Just spent eight days in the hotel and despite being the only english speakers ( every other guest being German) we had a great time in this family run hotel which oozes tradition and hospitality..We were persuaded to go B & B and then ate in the hotel restraurant every night from the a la carte menu. An excellent decision as the food and wine were of very good quality and served by excellent staff led by the proprietor's slightly eccentric son. Located right beside the lake in a quiet location, even though some ferries stop right beside the hotel. We had a lake view room with balcony and although quite small was adequate for our needs. We would recommend having own transport ( we had hire car) to facilitate travel around the lake as not many ferries stop at Brenzone and often easier to take ferries between other locations, or to visit towns on the east side of the lake.Do not miss Torri del Benaco ( our favourite) and take a funiclar ride up Mount Baldo on a clear day for amazing views.

Booked because of good comments on TA - and when looking for accommodation for early September found prices for hotels quite high and did not want to spend a fortune. Even so - paid 114 euro B & B per night - our room overlooked the lake with little balcony - every thing you needed - quite basic - this we expected. Shower room a little on the shabby side(bits of mould around shower) but otherwise clean. Breakfast was ok - again basic - buffet style. Anna was most welcoming and so was Stefanio. Nothing too much trouble - we ate in the resturant one evening - food excellent.

This is the real Italy - family run: friendly staff: quiet: right on the lake: excellent food: local food and wine served - our evening table was right on the shore: evening dinner is theatre! No hurdy-gurdys or amusement arcades close by. Restful and bequiling. Garda towns accessible by ferry literally outside door. Also, Verona by bus: stop on main road about 3 minuteswalk from the hotel. Open air eveing recitals (free) when we were there in August.

We chose this hotel because it is "bike friendly". This does not mean it is full of bikers, what it means is that the hotel owners understand our needs. Bikes are locked in a secure garage a little way from the hotel (they said they would be quite OK immediately outside the hotel but the local police don't like them being there)

I had asked for a lake view and what a lake view we got!! Most of the hotels on that side of Lake Garda are separated from the lake by a road. Here the only thing separating us from the lake was the promenade. There is a lake ferry stop just next to the hotel and what with that, the lake, the mountains opposite, it was just incredibly charming. The furniture in the room is not modern and their garden also has a certain old fashioned feel (despite the hot tub), so one could easily imagine what it might have been like 90 years ago...

The hotel has an incredibly popular restaurant. The staff were most entertaining, trying to cope with so many people in so many languages - they seem to know most of them!! - and finding places for them all to sit. We ate there in the evening and it just added to the atmosphere.

Breakfast is nothing special but its adequate.

We were only there for one night which was a shame as I was getting quite caught up in the atmosphere of the place.

A friend and i stayed here for 3 nights to 'get out of the city and see Lake Garda'. The location was fantastic - hotel situated right on the water front of. Quite and pretty. The attached restaurant had a great view and real full flavoured Italian food.
Staff were friendly, always smiling and willing to answer any questions we had and point us in the right direction to attractions. Easy to get a bus to Verona for the day. Staff also speak a variety of languages which was a bonus (we only spoke English). Would definately love to go back here again. Highly reccommend.

I am afraid I can really not agree at all with the positive reviews that have been posted here about this hotel. My wife and I have just been there for 4 nights and we were not at all impressed.

Room:

The room was clean, but very small, so was the bathroom. one could hardly move in there and there was no place to put suitcases etc. As suggested in some postings we took a room with a lake view, and while the sound of the lake at night was realy nice, the room was right on top of the restaurant terrace area where people were out drinking at night. On Thursday they had "Music night" and the live music was so loud that you couldn't even focus to read a book. It only ended at 11.30pm.

Breakfast:

For some reason the tables outside of the covered area could never be used for breakfast so we had to either sit insode or under the covered area outside even though the weather was very nice. The food itself was very poor, very cheap ham and cheese, no frsh juices and the toaster didn't work.

Service:

While Pietro, the dinner waiter was extremely nice, the female boos of the place was a bit of a diva, you could here her boss her people around all the time and she wasn't really friendly or helpful to the hotel guests.

Hotel beach:

There is not much of a place for people to lay in the sun. There are, however, some beachchairs that you can put on the walkway and lay in the sun. other hotels that we passed by walking along the promenade had much nicer beaches.

All in all, this hotel was a huge dissapointment and even though it was fairly cheap, it was still too much for what we paid for. We have stayed in really cheap hotels that were value for money, but this wasn't one of them.

The only positive point was the osteria we found in Casteletto di Brenzone, called "Al Pescatore". A real treasure: A former professore who opened his own osteria, no menu, he brings you whatever fish they just cought that day. 5-7 course menu including great local wines for € 45, that's what I call quality for money!
