From the Michelin star restaurant dining room, to the wood panelled guest bike room, to the spa, this centrally located Bormio hotel is perfect for the challenging climbs in the Dolomiti.
The room was spacious with a nice balcony and an expansive lobby and front porch for relaxing after a hard day's ride. It is nice to have a drink in the outdoor biergarten with a gorgeous view of the surrounding mountains.
The bike room has a place to store you bike, bike work stands and tools for any work that needs to be done. The spa has a a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna with a masseuse on duty too.
Breakfasts are sumptuous and the dinner menu changes daily.
A tour of the old town of Bormio is fascinating.
This hotel is a must stay while in Bormio!!

Room tip: Ask for a corner room to get a wrap around balcony.

Baita dei Pini is a fantastic "base camp" for outdoor activities of all varieties. We stopped by for a "quick fix" of cycling some of my favorite mountain roads. The weather was unsettled, but everyone was so warm and friendly that we forgot about the weather. Excellent kitchen and waitstaff put the time over-the-top.
