The people of th hotel are verry friendly and helpfull. The rooms are verry clean. The food was typical Italian and verry refined. The locatian for our bike trip was perfect, on the foot of the Stelvio and not far from mortirollo an gavia.

We went to Bormio to ride bike (Bormio 2000, Mortirolo, Gavia, Stelvio) and we stayed in the hotel for 3 nights.
First Delight : our clothes to ride bike were washed freshly every day !
Furthermore : excellent accommodation to store and maintain bikes.
On the first evening we had dinner in the hotel -> delicious 4 course meal for a very reasonable price.
The breakfast was awesome. Rooms were very nice and clean.
Overall this hotel only has 3 stars on paper, in reality it's a 4 + hotel.
Next year we'll be back !

With love, from Belgium, Marc & Eddy

Simply fantastic. We stayed here for a long weekend cycling in the Dolomites, and it was perfect - very bike friendly (secure and specious bike store and workshop, they wash your kit, and a lovely garden to relax in over a post-ride beer). The service is impeccable but friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. The food was excellent food, with a hearty variety of breakfast options, and interesting choices at dinner including local dishes. Clean and very well furnished, even though it was full it did not feel crowded, with plenty of seating etc. Very relaxing, and I would definately stay again.

Nestled in what appears to be a mainly residential area of Bormio we also recommend La Genzianella as a good base for exploring the area and driving or riding the Stelvio Pass. Bormio iteself has a nice medieval centre which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel staff are friendly, helpful & multi-lingual, and the hotel has its own car park. Happy with our room, which had a balcony that had a pleasant view of the neighbourhood with a glimpse of the snow-capped mountains behind. The set evening meal is somewhat basic but does the job: it is casual dining with a buffet element to it but fair for the price. The house wine was from memory both reasonably priced & pleasant to imbibe after a "hard" day driving & photographing the gorgeous passes & scenery in this corner of Italy & Switz.
