It is a family run business with mother working at the reception, father at the bar and son as navetta driver and chef at night. They have also managed to recruit excellent team working at the hotel.
It has been recently modernised and the standard of rooms were at least at 4* with lovely interior design and spacious bathrooms. The price includes breakfast and dinner. Meals were gourmet type Valtellina specialties. Restaurant was full every night with external quests arriving from other parts of Bormio. Staff is very well trained, professional and ensured our comfort at all times. Housekeeping team has not only cleaned the room, but also folded our clothes (spread around) which exceeded our expectations.
We had such lovely time hence the top rating.
The only areas that i would improve are:
+ display weather forecast at the reception area/elevators as important for skiers
+ add kettle and tea cups in the rooms
+ improve skies storage area
The unusual feature of the hotel-restaurant is the large window into cattle area. While eating a meal, one could be observing cows at the farm. Very unusual and entertaining.More
