Porcigliano Bed and Breakfast
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Recently visited this bed and breakfast with my wife and parents. Gabriella made our trip to Tuscany an outstanding experience. Her property is beautiful and has outstanding views of the countryside. Although located the country the bed and breakfast is located within a short distance of the must dos of Tuscany and is a nice break from the city life. Gabriella serves as a very warm and well informed host. If we ever get to return to Italy this place will be on our route!

My stay at Porcigliano B&B was a remarkable experience. The warm hospitality received from Gabbriella and Fernando made me feel right at home. Sleeping was no problem, the bed was fresh and clean with a breathtaking view of the natural flora from my window and the sound of nature at night were completely serene. Breakfast was always ready in the morning to energize and nourish me providing that I was able to limit myself of the comfortable bed. My dietary needs were well catered for as well. Information related to where I should visit, have a traditional Florentine meal and capture scenic views of the city's history was invaluable. Porcigliano's location is strategically away from the noise of traffic just outside the city of Florence making the B&B very peaceful and the ideal place for a relaxing vacation. All together the service was excellent and I would certainly visit again in the near future. Quincy

Gabbriella is very nice and helpful person. We really like her place. Is a litle bit far from the city, but for us this was perfect. We could experience the real Tuscany way of life waking up with birds singing and all the green view. Daniela & Felipe

We stayed in Porcigliano B&B for 3 nights of pure heaven!
The place is absolutely a dream! surrounded by nature, garden, flowers and animals.
Every detail in The room where we stayed, was top quality and well desighned.
The bed and pillows were wonderful and the room was very very clean.
Breakfast served by Gabrialla, our wonderful hostess, was rich and varied, including local and hand made products.
The most amazing thing was definitely the kind hospitality and good will of Gabriella, who made this staying the top place we have ever been to Italy!
We would definitely love to come back again!!!

This B&B is situated in an idyllic location and allows one to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside. Central for Florence, Pisa, Lucca and Sienna. Gabriella is the perfect hostess with a unique ability to help make the best of one's visit; nothing seems too much trouble for her and she caters for individual dietary needs. The accommodation is to a high standard, very clean and comfortable. This was our first experience of B & B on the continent and will encourage to use this type of facility again.

Room Tip: All rooms are well presented with picturesque views of the countryside.

Porcigliano is a rustic Tuscan B&B with all the modern amenities. Perched on a hillside overlooking beautiful Tuscany, you feel a million miles away from the busy Italian metropolitans, but in actuality, this B&B is about 20-30 minutes away from Florence's city center. Gabriella is the perfect host who is fluent in English and very knowledgeable about the region. There's a lot to do in the area from wine tasting to hill towns or visiting Florence for a day trip. And there's also a lot not to do but sit, drink coffee, and enjoy the beautiful garden. While we were there, the other couple at the B&B recommended that we visit Scarperia that was having a Renaissance fair. There was nothing cheesy about seeing townsfolk dressed up - - it was such a neat and unforgettable experience. Oh, when this B&B was refurbished, it was done to be eco-friendly. Gabriella serves organic, homemade bread and jams in the morning as well. We loved our time there and hope to return soon.

Room Tip: Blue room has views of the garden and hillside. Yellow room does not.

This is the second time I have stayed at Porcigliano B&B, because I just loved my first visit several years ago, and I am happy to say that I fell in love with this wonderful B&B all over again! Gabbriella, our very knowledgeable host, always goes out of her way to make each guest feel like home in her beautiful B&B overlooking a vineyard and gardens where her husband, Ferdinando works hard each day! The rooms are very warm and comfortable with beautiful views over the vineyard and rolling hills of Tuscany. If you are looking for a true Tuscan experience, this is it.
