“An exceptionally attractive 'stately home'”
Reviewed September 13, 2012

Beautifully presented rooms full of fine paintings, furniture, porcelain and so on, with a fine exhibition space downstairs (where we saw some excellent 20th century Italian art), plus an unusually well-appointed cafe on the roof terrace

“Excellent”
Reviewed August 27, 2012

We recommend a visit to the Fondazione Terruzzi. The collection is outstanding, set in a beautiful villa. Please allow enough time to visit the Foundation and go onto the cafe terrace for something to eat and drink, as the views are tremendous, giving a panoramic view of the area.
It's open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 15.00 until 23.00.
In addition, it has an interesting bookshop that is worth a visit.

“Splendidly restored villa with interesting art and magnificent view”
Reviewed July 20, 2012

The villa was built by queen Margherita of Italy during the first world war. She lived her last 10 years in the villa. The house is now restored in a fantastic way. It houses parts of the Terruzzi collection of art, furntiure, porcelain etc.
In the ground floor there are temporary exhibitions. Presently there is an exhibition of Italian art from the 20th century. This contains pieces by de Chirico, Balla, Morandi and many others. For people interested in modern art, this is an opportunity not to be missed.

On the roof there is a terrace with an extraordinary view of Bordighera and the most beautiful parts of the Cote d'Azur.
