My husband and I stayed here recently, in a lovely new room, creatively and artistically finished in an old, newly restored house in a quiet location in the heart of the old city. Roberto and his family have restored an old house into a beautiful 3 bedroom Bed and Breakfast. Beautiful wood floors, interesting architectural details, such as exposed stone, combined with tastful modern furnishngs. What made this stay really special was the welcoming and caring attention by owner Roberto, the whole time we were there. Very reasonable rates, a delicious breakfast and morning coffee. We were treated like family.
Benevento is a surprisingly interesting, very old city, off the beaten tourist track, but well worth a detour and a stop to see the Roman treasures located there. A Trajan Arch, a Cathedral from the 8th century, a Roman amphitheater all await the tourist who is interested in Ancient Latin history. Via Garibaldi is a very attractive main thoroughfare, and restaurants in town are reasonable and delicious, with friendly and solicitous service. A very memorable stay! Highly recommended!
