Lovely small hotel, close to the Lake. Rooms clean and functional, beds incredibly comfortable. Breakfast had a great selection and was delicious. Pool was clean and sunbeds comfortable however it is in the shade for much of the day. Would definitely return!

Room Tip: Go for a balcony!

Am hesitant to submit a review, as most of the previous reviewers have said it all. It is a lovely hotel in a lovely town and we enjoyed our all-too-brief one night stay there. Because of the brevity of our stay, we simply opted for a standard room which was more than adequate, and did not have time to sample the pool.
We did, however, partake of dinner and breakfast and the maitre d' is a treasure. We are not usually fans of Italian red wine, but with his help we were pointed towards a local Valpolicella which was excellent and not overpriced. The food was varied and good too.
It is essential to take a stroll into town in the evening. The place is lit up, shops open, pavement cafes thriving and lots of people just promenading.
And the downside to all this? We should have stayed longer. Next time we will.

San Pietro is a very charming hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Our room had a balcony overlooking the pool which was quite busy but we always managed to find sun loungers. There is also a quiet shaded garden which was sometimes used for pre-dinner snacks and drinks. The breakfast was wonderful with a great variety of fresh food and the opportunity to enjoy a glass of fizz with your breakfast if you felt so inclined. Bardolino is gorgeous. We drove all the way around the lake and were glad that we chose to stay in Bardolino. In our opinion it is the best place to stay on Lake Garda. Great ice-cream shops and swimming in the lake is wonderful. The only niggle was that the sheets were not changed until the end of our first week.

We stayed at the San Pietro from 27th July to 3rd August. We loved the hotel's old world charm. It was a peaceful haven right on the doorstep of bustling Bardolino - the best of both worlds on beautiful Lake Garda. One thing we were particularly grateful for was the care and attention that Ignatio gave to our veggie needs. When the menu for the evening meal was lacking in veggie options he went to a great deal of trouble to work out veggie alternatives for us. Many thanks to the chefs too by the way. Previously we had stayed half board at a number of hotels across Europe where although they advertised themselves as catering for vegetarians they quite frankly did not have a clue. I was particularly amused by one that that claimed that beef broth should be OK as there were no actual lumps of meat in it. We were less amused where we were expected to go a la carte for veggie food and pay extra for the privilege. (We decided to eat out instead.). It was lovely not to be treated as second class guests or to be short changed on our holiday. We certainly plan to return. Thanks again to everyone at San Pietro.

Room Tip: Rooms with balconies on the third floor have the best views.

We stayed at the San Pietro from the 13th and 27th July 2013 on a half board basis. The hotel is family run and just the right size. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable. There was an excellent, extensive breakfast both hot and cold and the four course evening meal was varied and delicious. Wine was reasonably priced. The air conditioning throughout the hotel was much appreciated in the very hot weather. Our bedroom was well furnished and the bathroom was large and clean. They even had BBC1 on the tv!
We went on several trips that meant missing either breakfast or evening meal and Ignatio, the Maitre-D arranged for a light meal to be brought to our room at no charge, once at 10.30 p.m. when we went to Venice for the day.
The hotel hotel pool was lovely and there were sufficient sun loungers for everyone. Cold bottled water was supplied for guests to help themselves to. The garden is small but pretty and dinner was held there sometimes which made a nice change.
We were certainly well looked after and will return in the future.
From what we saw, in our opinion, it is probably the best hotel in Bardolino.
Thank you for looking after us so well.
Edward and Tracey, Plymouth, England.

We stayed at San Pietro 18th-30th July and had a wonderful holiday. We highly recommend this hotel. It is located close to Bardolino centre and has easy access to transport bus/boat and has a large car park. The hotel is extremely well managed, it is very clean and comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The staff throughout the hotel are friendly, polite, attentive and have a good sense of humour, which all contributes to a feel good atmosphere. They responded promptly to any issues or queries. We booked half board and were glad as the food served was excellent in quality, presentation and was very reasonably priced.A special mention to Ignazio, Restaurant Manager and his staff who were first class and ensured we were fully aware of all the culinary choices and delights. We truly enjoyed our time in San Pietro and Bardolino and hope to return in the future.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra for a room with a balcony. Well worth it.

I stayed at San Pietro for two nights as a part of a road trip in Northern Italy. The hotel claims to be a four star hotel. My answer to that? The service is as expected from a four star hotel and the cost is as expected from a four star hotel. However, the facility itself and especially the rooms could not be considered four stars. I really want to emphasize that I enjoyed my stay and highly appreciated the staff, the service and facilities such as free parking, lounge and pool area but given that you pay a decent amount of money (high season) you would expect a room bigger than the one you get.

Except from the size of the room, I don't have anything to complain about. The hotel is clean, breakfast is OK and we didn't encounter any other problems.

Dear Travelsuperstar

we thank you for choosing our hotel, we apologize that you find our rooms small. Regarding to this: as you have seen our hotel is situated in the historic center of Bardolino. The only way to make the rooms bigger is to cut the number of them. Even though after a long meditation the direction has take the decision to do that for the next season.
We hope to see you again.

Best regards
