Having spent a week in this lovely hotel for our 50th wedding anniversary, we could not have picked a better hotel, spotless bedrooms, clean towels morning and night. The food was out of this world, different every night and very well explained to us by the Maitre D who could charm the birds out of the trees!!!! The two chefs were exceptional and came round the restaurant to say hello to everybody. The pool was wonderful with a spa to go with it. The location was very good very quick into town or the lake, also the bus station. The staff in the hotel were very friendly nothing was too much trouble. This hotel is a must go back for me I have never felt so relaxed and at home before. Thank you San Pietro!!

Room Tip: Choose 3rd floor with a balcony overlooking the pool - perfect!

We have recently retrurned from a holiday in Bardolino Lake Garda, Having stayed at 5 different hotels in Bardolino over the years I can confirm the San Pietro is the Best.

Great position for a walk into town or down to the lake, from the moment you walk in it feels like home, family run and it shows. The room we had was recently completely refurbished, nice Balcony, towels changed daily, huge comfortable bed and choice of pillow. We were going to have B&B however changed our mind having read a sample dinner menu, fantastic choice I am very fussy on food but Ignazio the Head Waiter bent over back wards to suit my taste buds. Every member of staff were so helpful nothing to much trouble, breakfast a treat to start your day, fantastic pool and never busy.We can not wait for our return, Love Italy and want a treat the Hotel San Pietro is your choice. Well done to everyone in the Hotel from family members to the fantasic staff. See you all soon.Congrtats to Head Chef Giuseppe and his family on new Daughter

Room Tip: If you require Lake view, request Balcony room on th 3rd floor

This is the second time I have visited Bardolino, the last time was some years ago, because this time it was my 50 wedding anniversary I wanted somewhere special and this hotel was certainly special. The hotel itself was
exceptional, we had a room with a lovely balcony and a view of the lake, very nicely furnished and very clean, especially the bathroom. I cannot praise the staff enough for their service. The Maitre de was really very nice and friendly and very helpful and so were all the waiters and waitress's, they could not do enough for you. The 4 course meals we had were exceptional and very well presented. The buffet breakfast was also very good with everything you could have wanted. There was a lovely swimming pool and hot tub as well which was fun. I would like to stay at this wonderful hotel again.

Room Tip: We had a room on the top floor with a balcony overlooking the swimming pool, and a view of the lake...

Just returned from our stay here. This hotel is fantastic and we will definitely return.
The hotel staff are friendly, helpful and always at hand. The hotel itself is very clean, well maintained and close to all amenities. The food in the restaurant is fresh on a daily basis and is varied to suit all tastes. It would be very difficult to find another hotel that is so well run.

We have just returned from another brilliant holiday at this typically Italian elegant & charming hotel complete with pool and lovely gardens and which is situated close to the town and the transport systems.
The rooms are traditionally decorated:- the room and bathroom properly cleaned and checked every morning, the bedding is changed every day and the towels changed morning and evening. The hotel is of the highest standard and the family owners are always on hand to discreetly help with any enquiries. The dining room is quiet and the staff especially the head waiter Ignazio, are excellent but never pushy. The food created by chefs Giuseppe and Valentino is innovative , delicious and beautifully presented. No two dishes are repeated in fourteen days, if you want to change some part of your meal you only have to ask., nothing is to much trouble. Why go into the town to eat out when a four course meal is available at the additional cost of only €18 per day? it's a steal, a single pasta dish or a pizza will cost you almost that in the town centre.
We have used this hotel on several visits and have never once been disappointed. Come on take a look at their website or get the Ingham 's brochure and visit Lake Garda and the wonderful hotel San Pietro.

We visisted the Hotel San Pietro at end May (half term) - 2 Adults and 2 kids.
I did a bit of research and finalised on the HSP in July last year. We chose to book two rooms (one with bacolony (for us) and one without (for kids) with special request for lake view and rooms opposite. We were not expecting much of a view, if anything, as there is a park in front with tall trees.
As it turned out we were in room 351 and this had a fantastic view of the lake (to the left) - the balcony was well worth the extra 140Euro for the week, we used it a lot as it gets the sun all afternoon - a nice glass of wine on the balcony was fabulous.
The room was more than satisfactory. nice bathroom, only a shower, not a bath, but frankly the days were warm so a nice cold(ish) shower was very welcome) .
The bed was massive, and with the 3 different types of pillows it was all very comfortable.
TV in the room, as well as a mini bar.
I was extrenely impressed that the towels are changed daily (at least once.... the maids knock on the door early evening to ask if you need anything else, or more towels etc. Pool towels, robes and slippers are also provided.
The common rooms are cool and relaxed, the pool & jacuzzi are great too.
Breakfast was a plethora of options, eggs, bacon, hams, cheese, fresh breads, cakes, fruit, cereals - and that doesnt do it any justice - it was the biggest selection I have ever seen - the kids loved it.
We never experienced the hotel retsaurant in the evening asd we opted to try the Bardolino restaurants, particularly as the kids were easy to please with pizza and pasta ! A very short walk into town, and an alley to the lake right outside the door.
Perhaps one of the best aspects of the hotel is the staff, all very friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble and they go out of their way to make your stay a great one - I shouldnt single out anyone as they were all fabulous, but ~I have to give a special mention to Guiseppe who seem ed to work all hours at the bar fixing us our drinks - particularly when we returned from our evening meal recomending a drink, or fixing us a coffee and a ramazzotti.

We will return to BArdolino, its a fantastic place..... and when we do, we will definitely go back and stay at the Hotel San Pietro, I cant imagine staying anywhere else

Room Tip: top floor 350-353 all have great views, but my tip is just to stay at this hotel and not any other...

San Pietro Hotel is in a fantastic location only a few minutes walk from the centre where the restaurants, bars and lake are. Bardolino is a lovely little town with plenty of restaurants and a nice stroll along the lake up to Garda. It has regular ferries to other parts of the lake.

If you are looking for a hotel with Italian character then this is perfect and the staff were very friendly and helpful. But as a couple in our 30's we felt we didn't really fit in compared to the average guest age. It is only our opinion as others may appreciate the charm but it could do with updating.

The wifi worked great, the pool and garden area looked lovely although we didn't use the pool. The breakfast was poor with little choice. Overall it is expensive for compared to hotels a little further out.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a room with a balcony otherwise you are overlooking the car park.
