I have just returned from a weeks stay here. Normally we stay 4* but after reading all the reviews decided to give this hotel a try. We were not disappointed, it was the best hotel we have ever stayed in. We had 2 rooms both with twin beds and they were spotlessly clean and cleaned every day we were there. There is a free safe to use, toiletries and towels provided, a fridge with water supplied (charged 2 euros a bottle and replenished daily), hairdryer and 2 towels for the pool supplied in a beach bag that you could change for fresh ones if you wanted to.

Breakfast is served between 7.30 and 10am and has a wide choice from cereals, bacon and scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, toast, pancakes, bread, ham and cheese. There are only 43 rooms so it doesn't get overcrowded but allows you to enjoy a peaceful start to the day.
The receptionists were all very helpful and accommodating and it was quiet on a night so you didnt have any problem in going to sleep.
The clean outdoor pool always had sunloungers available and was very relaxing to cool down in from the heat.

The location of the hotel right on the lake front is great

There is a Spar supermarket just 5 mins up the road that stocked everything you may need. Bardolino bus station was only 10 min walk away and the tourist information office there had timetables and also sold bus tickets, as well as attraction tickets to Gardaland, cable car at Monte Baldo (Malcesine) etc and organised tours. We used the bus service to go to Gardaland, Peschiera and Malcesine and they were very reliable.

Bardolino has a wide choice of restaurants and we tried a different one every night, the centre of Bardolino was just a 10 min walk along the lakeside and this was also where you could catch the ferry to the other towns on the lake. The ferry tickets go on sale 20 minutes before the ferry leaves and there are timetables available in reception.

I would highly recommend this hotel if staying in Bardolino.

Stayed for a week late June/early July. Classic room which was comfortable, although the balcony view wasn't great. Really good breakfast and very friendly staff. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again but would book privately with the hotel. Fantastic location, great rooftop terrace. Absolutely loved it.

We stayed at Villa Letizia for 11 nights in May/June in room 206 (large front lake view room) with amazing views of the lake and beyond. We loved the friendliness of the staff and the overall cleanliness. Rooms cleaned thoroughly every day and towels changed. The hotel only supply shower gel and shampoo on arrival which would only last a couple of days (not an issue for us as we always bring our own). We made use of the pool, the roof terrace and private lakeside area and all were well maintained. The staff take your drink/snack orders at all of these locations which very convenient. Beautiful lakeside walks to Garda, Cisano and Lazise and easy bus and water taxi access to other resorts. Can’t wait to return next year!

Room tip: Front lake view rooms are well worth the money

Lovely clean and well positioned hotel. Didn’t have a lake view room but what we had was nice enough and we weren’t in the room other than for sleeping and showering, but it was very clean, good air con and bathroom.
Pool area spotless and not busy - too hot on the roof terrace for us though!
Easy to walk into town which is stunning. Lovely walks either way.

A nice, clean and friendly hotel located just 5 minutes from the main harbour area. The hotel has a nice rooftop terrace and a quiet pool area, both ideal for relaxing after sightseeing and, if you like to cycle, bikes can be stored in the hotel free of charge. Overall a very pleasant stay. However if we were to return, we would book a large lake view room as the balconies in the side rooms are very small.

Room tip: Upgrade to a lake view room if possible.
