Me and my wife stayed here in June 2009 for 10 days on our honeymoon.
I am not much of a writer so I will keep this short.
This hotel was chosen after we read reviews etc on here and we were so pleased that we did.
When we arrived there was champaign and strawberrys waiting on ice for us in our room as a congratulations for our marrage. The rooms were a very good size with a very bug bed that was very nice to sleep and relax in. The bathroom was very clean and modern with plenty if towels and robes etc.
We had a balcony but it was on the north side of the building and the view was restricted but still very pleasant to sit outside on with a glass of the local wine.
The facilities like the spa and saunas were fantastic. There is a choice of 3 different types of sauna all of which are very relaxing and each one has hot and cold scented showers. There is a choice of pools outside as well as a indoor pool.
In the area where there is beauty treatments etc is 2 Turkish baths that are also very relaxing.
The food and drink here is fantastic. Just thinking back to what I had during my stay is making my mouth water right now.
Locally there are restaurants that also produce great meals and wines that are well worth a visit.
The towns close by are within walking distance and it's a nice stroll alongside the lake to get to them.
Overall we cannot of asked for a better place for our honeymoon and would recommend this hotel to anybody.
I am currently out in Afghanistan and just about to come to the end of my 6 month tour out here. I plan to try and get booked back into this hotel and go there to unwind and relax with the wife after a very tough and eventfull 6 months out here. One place I would not recommend to visit is Afghanistan lol.

We booked a holiday with Thomsons, not knowing which hotel we would be placed at (but knowing it was one of four "4 star" hotels in the area. We think we hit the jackpot with this one. The hotel is classy,(unlike a lot of package hotels) Rooms were fine,Restaurants excellent with a magnificent breakfast buffet and dinner each night was a treat. Several courses all beautifully presented, not overlarge portions but very tasty.
The hotels pools and gardens were a delight, usually plenty of sunbeds available.
We didn't go for the Spa treatment ourselves but they were most extensive.
Would definitely recommend, All of the staff were friendly and efficient, particularly Filippo the Maitre d'hotel.
Can't wait to go back!!

I have recently stayed here on a work trip. We, ourselves being travel consultants. I could not find one fault with the hotel. The grounds are kept spectacularly clean and tidy. The several pools are large. Staff could not do more for you, with regards to even choice of wine with your meals!! I must say the spa overall stood out above everything. The med sauna is just awesome, I really recommned it after a busy day back from Verona. the sauns ais free aswell as the pool and Turkish baths. The hydrotherapy pool being my favourite.
Relatively poor facilities for children. Fantastic choice on offer food wise, in several restaurants. Unlike France it is not just cold continental breakfast. As a must, you have to sample the famous Bardolino red wine. i think it would be veryheard to find a better hotel on the lake.

We spent 11 nights here in September '09.

The facilities are really first class, but they were so extensive that we could have done with a guided tour! For instance, not everyone realised that there were thermal baths and an indoor pool. The hotel does revolve around the spa and pools. Every room has slippers and gowns, and there are white towels for use in the room and grey towels for use in the spa, pools and on the beach.

The rooms are very generously sized: probably justifying a 5* hotel rating. Sound proofing was excellent, and the air conditioning worked silently too. There was a large flat screen TV with international channels.

In common with most guests, we stayed on a half-board basis. At dinner, you were assigned a table which you retained for the duration. The food was always good and, on occasion, excellent. However, do not expect gourmet food, nor even a specific local touch: it's high quality mass-catering. The choice was extensive, and you got to eat as much salad and desserts(!) as you wanted. Desserts were sometimes a bit of a scrum as a result, with a lot of food wasted as there was no explanation of what each items was (and there were many many items!)

The breakfasts too were a bit of a scrum too, and coffee delivered to the table was undrinkable (fortunately, the machine-made stuff was excellent).

There is really no view from most of the rooms. We had a balcony with a 15 degree view of the lake. Bardolino is some 20 minutes walk away. Cisano, however, is only 5 minutes away, and here there are bars, cafes, bus stops and a pier from which to catch ferries. A direct bus will get you to Verona within an hour. A major busy road runs between the hotel and a park, beyond which is the lake. The park sometimes hosts exhibitions and funfairs. The surrounding area is built up.

In summary, this is a large modern hotel complex with efficient and helpful staff. There is not much to recommend it by way of atmosphere, scenery, or local colour. I think it deserves top marks because the facilities are excellent, everything works, and it's comfortable and pristine.

What a fantastic place to stay.
I booked my wedding in Lake Garda and booked Hotel Caesius for our stay and to hold our wedding reception.
From the moment we arrived (my husband and parents, parents in law and grandparents) we were treated with the greatest respect.
We booked a suitw which was to teh left of the main pool wich also has a small pool next to it, the suite was very spacious and as we were their special guests we had champagne and fruits and flowers left in our room, The guest assistant Cornelia was amazing, I cant recommend her enough she made us feel so welcome and at ease from the 1st emails we sent to book to us leaving. nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The rooms were kept immaculate by the maids, claned everday to a high standard. Our family had normal rooms which again were spacious and kept very clean and tidy.

We stayed half board wich included breakfast which was lovely, there was a cooked selection, hot and cold, cereals, fruit, al types of drink , cakes, pastries and champagne if wanted. The staff were briliant here also.

We then had our main meal which was 4 course with a salad bar.
What can i say the food is amazing, the waiters were fantastic, were were served by Antonio and Monnika who i befriended, they were so kind and were very good with my 93 year old grandmother who only liked as we say plain food.
The salad bar had everything u could want, very fresh and beautiful bread, rols etc.
Each course was so fresh and full of flavour. There was a choice of two - three options for each course, always catering for vegetarians and dietry requirements.
The food was fantasic and we throughlly enjoyed every mouthful, the deserts were fabulous too, so much to chose from.

There is a great spa and indoor swimming pool with gym and thermal baths etc, definatley a place to unwind and relax and be pampered.

The swimming pools are huge and have jacuzzis in and around the pools area, there are 4 pools all in all one being a childrens pool, there is a pool bar where Filomena (the nicest [erson you could ever meet and so hardworking) cooked snacks and served soft and alcoholic drinks up until 7-8pm.

Our wedding reception was out of this world, the hotel Cornelia, Antonia, Michela, Monnika and Phillpe made our wedding so special, Our guests felt at ease and enjoyed every moment of it. We started with canapes at the poolside where we had our speeches and they moved up to the Augustus Terrace by nighfall to have our main 4 course meal, again the food was fantastic and the service was astounding. We hired a musician Pualo who sang and played his guitar it toped our evening, The staff at this hotel are our of this world the food is great and a wonderful stay.

Its a 15 min walk into the centre of Bardolino which was a lovely walk to take along the lake after dinner, Bikes are available for the day and interent is also avalable, They also have shutle bus into the centre which is bookable at reception.
There is also a bar which serves snacks in the day and evening and entertainment is provided on certain nights.

We would recommend this hotel to everyone, the old, the young,, for a wedding or for a relaxing holiday, ITS WONDERFUL.
